Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain positive images through ordinary development without reversal development from negative images by performing uniform AC charging on photoreceptor surface then performing light image radiation as well as to obtain two color images by forming the photoreceptor in 3 layer structure.
CONSTITUTION: Alternately adjoining positive and negative charge patterns are formed on a photoconductive insulation layer (selenium, etc.) 2 provided on a conductive substrate 1 by a corona discharger applied with AC of frequencies 30W 100kHz and 6.7KV while either the discharger or photoreceptor is being moved at the speed associated to the frequency of the AC. Next, light images are radiated to the layer 2. The portions 2a not radiated with light remain intact and only the positive charges remain on the surface of the incident portions 2b of light. The negatively charged toner is supplied to the latent images of the portions 2b made in this way, whereby positive images are obtained.
