Abstract
PURPOSE: To devise to separate molded product from a mold without damaging forging molded product and the mold by controlling an arm in which a knock out pin vertically applied and fixed on its upward movement, performing elastic setting the arm to the upper mold and arranging a control member that allows this arm to go up later than the upper mold after molding.
CONSTITUTION: A forging machine 1 consists of the fixed lower mold 3 and the vertically moving upper mold 2. In the lower part of the upper mold, a through space 6 in the horizontal direction is provided, and in the space, a knock out arm 7 that traverses through it is inserted. It both end 7a, 7a' are tied up to a control member 12, 12' to be controlled its upward movement. In the arm 7, two knock out pins are provided and given elastic energy by a spring 11. When the upper mold 2 is moved up after molding of a molded product W, the upward movement of the arm 7 is checked, and the molded product is separated from the upper mold 2 by the pin 10. When the upper mold goes up to a specified position, tying up of the arm 7 by the control member 12 is released through a cum 19, and the arm 7 is stored by the upper mold 2. Thus, clinging phenomena of the molded product to the mold is eliminated.
