Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide highly efficient dust collection by controlling reverse ionization, even when apparent dust resistivity becomes higher, cyclic waveform voltage of specified value is applied to the discharge electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The internal of casing 1 is provided with dust collection electrodes 2a, 2b, 2c and a number of discharge electrodes 3 are arranged therebetween. Extremely high voltage supply 4 is connected to the discharge electrodes 3 through the voltage regualator 5 generating cyclic waveform as shown in figure, where too short a period cannot control reverse ionization, and too long a period reduces ion generation. Thus, a 0.1 to 10 ms period waveform is used to provide an optimum condition for highly efficient dust collection even when dust has a high apparent resistivity.
