Abstract

PURPOSE: A liquid surface sensor element for sensing a contact with the fuel surface is arranged at the upper part within the combustion chamber in a main body of the carbureator, a solenoid valve is opened or closed in response to a signal from the element to control a flow of the fuel into the combustion chamber and thereby the carburetor is entirely reduced in its size.
CONSTITUTION: When a liquid surface of the fuel 10 is low in its level, the solenoid valve 12 is opened and the fuel may be fed via the solenoid valve, and in turn when the liquid surface is raised and the level of the fuel is detected by the liquid surface sensor element 11, the solenoid valve 12 is closed to terminate a feeding of the fuel. As described above, a repetitive opening and closing of the solenoid valve 12 will keep constant the level of the liquid surface of the fuel 10. Due to such arrangements as described above, its characteristic of response is much superior to that of a conventional type of float control device and at the same time it is not necessary to store a relatively large float within the fuel chamber 3, so that it is possible to provide a device of reduced size.
