Abstract

PURPOSE: To make production and constitution simple and make possible installation of a distance measuring photo detector in arbitrary positions by contacting the incident end of an optical fiber to the focus glass face on which the subject is imaged to receive a part of the subject image and directing its exit end to the distance measuring photo detector.
CONSTITUTION: The focus glass 15 of a single-lens reflex camera is provided with ground glass form focal plane 15a and Fresnel lens face 15b, and the subject image is formed on the focal place 15a. There is generally a sufficient clearance between the focus glass 15 and condenser lens 16. By making use of this clearance, the arbitrary portion of the subject image formed on the focal plane 15a is directed from the Fresnel lens face 15b side to a distance measuring photo detector 20 through a photo detecting part 18 and optical fiber 19. The photo detecting part 18 measures the distance by slidably providing a holding member 21 having an annular frame on the Fresnel lens face 15b, holding the optical fiber 19 with said holding member 21 in such a manner that its incident part positions within the annular frame and entering the arbitrary portion of the subject imaged on the focal plane 15a into the optical fiber 19 with the reflecting mirror 22 through movement of the holding member 21.
