Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a tube having a shrinking percentage of 60-80% at the time of heat shrinkage by adding a composition of a silanol condensation catalyst to a silane graft ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer inducing vinyl acetate to improve the elongation of the copolymer. CONSTITUTION:To a silane graft ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer containing 10- 40wt% of vinyl acetate, dibutyl tin dilaurate or the like, for example, of a silanol condensation catalyst is added to form a tube. This tube is left standing in an atmosphere of much moisture at a temperature of 50-80 deg.C, and the crosslinking degree is rendered into 50-70%. Thereafter, the tube is elongated and expanded while heating in an atmosphere of 90-100 deg.C so that the shrinking percentage of the tube at the time of use becomes 60-80%, and the tube is cooled in this state to obtain a highly shrinkable tube.
