Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of necessary binding margins without changing the original position by changing the start timing of the regist roller for the image of a photoreceptor thereby changing the feed timing of transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:A resist roller is inhibited of its turning selectively by a clutch device 15 and when the clutch action by the clutch device 15 is released, it starts rotating to start sending out transfer paper. The clutch device 15 contains a gear 16 mounted integrally with the roller 14, a clutch lever 17 which is pivotally supported at one end to a shaft 18 and selectively engages at the other end with one tooth of the gear 16, a spring 19 which energizes the lever 17 in its engagement direction and a solenoid device 20 which drives the lever 17 in the direction detaching from the engagement with the gear 16. The controlling of electric current supply to the solenoid 20 is performed by the 1st and 2nd limit switches 36, 37. Thereby, necessary binding margins may be obtained without changing the original set position.
