Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide stable combustion by generating powerful cyclone flow within the internal combustion engine during the intake stroke.
CONSTITUTION: During the low load running period with small opening of carbureter throttle valve 37, the negative pressure of intake manifold 25, and No.2 throttle valve 27 os closed. On the other hand, during the high load running No.2 throttle valve 27 is opened. During the low load running, mixing gas is sprayed into the intake port 7 through passage 39, distributing passage 38 and flowway 40. Mixed gas sprayed with high speed from the opening 41 of flowway 40 is passing through the clearance formed between the intake valve 6 and valve seat thereof to enter into the combustion chamber 5. Nextly, it is guided into the vertical wall section of combustion chamber 5 to make cyclone flow.
