PURPOSE:To provide an efficient vibration type converter power supply for controlling the output in wide range smoothly by so controlling the open or close of the primary winding side switching element as to vary the closed time responsive to the variation of the control input while retaining the duration of the open time constant. CONSTITUTION:The primary winding side switching element 4 of a vibration type inverter for supplying a direct current through smoothing capacitors C1, C2 to a load Rl opens or closes according to the open or close control signal from a control signal generator circuit 6 operating on the basis of a diviation Ed between the output setting voltage Er and the output voltage detected by the voltage drop of the resistor Rs. The circuit of R3-R4-C3 determines the open or close time of the element 4, the charging time of the C3 becomes the closed period of the switching element 4, and the discharge time of the C3 becomes the open time of the element 4.
