CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 1 is positioned on the block 4 and bonded and fixed. The holding tool 5 holding the block 4 is fixed at one end of the shaft 8 supported in rotary free and slide free on the frame 6. The polish tape 32 from the polish tape supply reel 31 is superimposed on the elastic tape fed from the elastic tape supply reel 33. They are wound on the winding reel 35. In this case, the polish tape 32 is pushed on the arc surface of the magnetic head with uniform pressure, and the motors 17, 21 are driven to reciprocate the holding tool 5 toward the shaft center of the arc surface of the magnetic head 1 with the eccentric cam 16, and polishing is made by oscillating and shaking the tool 5 by taking the shaft 8 as the center.
