Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the deflection of an ink jet stream from the normal flying track due to clogging of the nozzle by injecting a conductive liquid toward an electrode pointer from the nozzle arranged in an ink recovery gutter to detect the current flowing condition. CONSTITUTION:In the case where whether or not the ink jet injected from the ink jet head flies along the normal track is detected, a three-way valve 103 is opened, a detection liquid within a tand 104 is injected from a nozzle 100 toward a detection pointer 101 via filter 105, and a pressure pump 106, and the injected liquid is recovered to a tank 104 through the three-way valve 103, and a suction pump 109, thus a detection liquid flow 108 being injected continuously through the nozzle 100. When the ink jet stream is deflected, it does not come into collosion with the detection liquid stream. Upon this occasion, an alarm signal circuit 114 is actuated to operate an alarm device 115 and notice the trouble to the ink jet head nozzle part.
