When receiving signals appear, scanning is stopped temporarily, and the code number of the receiving station name is searched from the broadcast station name table corresponded to receiving frequencies and is stored in RAM. After that, scanning is started again to store successively broadcast station names for every receiving signal. When the scanning of receiving bands is completed, the scanning end is displayed, and codes are read out from the RAM to display places of broadcast stations on the map by flashing luminance elements. Consequently, channel selection is easy even in broadcast stations are not remembered in a car radio, etc., and direction and bearing sensibility can be nourished.
