Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the excessive stress generated in a vane by centrifugal force since a side plate may be supported so that its free radial deformation may be permitted by slidably engaging the tips of a plurality of support bars protruded from a core plate with a radial groove provided on the inside surface of the side plate.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of support bars 7 are protruded from the core plate 3 of a vane 4, and guide portions 7a with a table shaped section are provided on their tips. A plurality of radial grooves 5a are provided on a side plate 5 correspondingly to the locations of the bars 7, and the guide portions 7a of the support bars 7 slidably engage with the grooves 5a. Thereby, the plate 5 is capable of sliding on the bars 7, not bound in radial direction and can be freely deformed. On rotation, therefore, the centrifugal force of the plate 5 is not transmitted to the vane 4 so that such bending stress as generated in conventional vanes is not generated at all. Therefore, the blades of the vane 4 can be considerably decreased in thickness and high speed can be developed by the vane 4.
