Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform non-pulsating, constant flow liquid transport, by a method wherein, in liquid chromatography, the rotational speed of a cam driving motor is inceased by a fixed number of times from the pressure drop starting point of a pump inner chamber of a pump and it is restored to the previous speed at the pressure rise starting point.
CONSTITUTION: In column chromatography, solvents A, B in solvent storages 1, 2 are drawn into mixing chamber 5 respectively via valves 3, 4. After they are mixed here, the mixture is sent under pressure by pump 6. It is sent under pressure to column 9 via pressure detector 7 and sample specimen introducing device 8. After passing here, it is discharged through detector 10. Here, valves 3, 4 and pump 6 are controlled by microcomputer 11. Pump 6 is provided with a pair of plungers 14, which are caused to make reciprocating motion by the rotation of cam 12. It detects the pressure drop and pressure rise starting points of pump inner chamber 24, and the rotational speed of motor 18 driving cam 12 is increased by a fixed number of times from the drop starting point.
