Abstract
PURPOSE: To develop a heating furnace which the repair of the furnace by means of cooling thereof for a short time is easy and can saue energy by a mechanism wherein the heating furnace is formed by a doughnut-shaped hearth rotating on a truck frame and the upper portion is covered with an outer circumferential wall, which can move up and down.
CONSTITUTION: A doughnut-shaped hearth 2 is placed on a truck frame 1, and the hearth is revolved by means of a shaft 6. An upper portion of the hearth 2 is covered with a doughnut- shaped ceiling 12, and the ceiling is connected to a counter weight 20 by means of chains 18, 19, and easily shifted up and down along a lifting guide rail 16. A doughnut-shaped heating furnace is made up by means of the hearth 2, an outer circumferential wall 11 and the ceiling 12, the ceiling 12 is moved up and down in response to the dimensions and form of a body to be heated, and the inner volume of the heating furnace is not unnecessarily enlarged. The body to be heated is successively heated by means of a burner while rotating the hearth 2, and exhaust gas is exhausted from a flue 22. Since the inner volume of the heating furnace can be adjusted in response to the body to be heated, wasteful heating space is removed, and fuel can be economized. When repairing the furnace, cooling is accelerated by lifting the ceiling 12, and the repair of the furnace is facilitated while time required for the repair of the furnace can be shortened.
