Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent erroneous driving and change-over operation, by adapting a control rod not to enter a recersing position when the control rod is operated to release a high-speed gear train which has been formed by setting the control rod to a forward high-speed position.
CONSTITUTION: When a control rod is operated to be returned to a neutral position, a selection rod 50 is oscillated in a direction D so that a drive handle 30 is moved to right with a change-over shaft 20. At the same time, an oscillation restriction member 40 is also moved to right owing to the elastic force of a compression return spring 45. When the right end surface of the oscillation restriction member 40 comes into contact with projections 16a, 16b, the rightward movement of the oscillation restriction member 40 is stopped. As a result, projections 42a, 42b are disengaged from recesses 32a, 32b. Accordingly, the oscillation restriction member 40 is put in a neutral state owing to the returning force of the spring 45 as an arm 33 of the drive handle 30 comes into engagement with a recess 62 in a driven handle 61.
