Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce resistance at the time when curved teeth pass an opening and thereby to increase volume effciency by matching the boundary lines of the inner wall of a casing with respect to the openings of an inlet and an outlet, with the shapes of curved teeth provided on rotors.
CONSTITUTION: In flow meter 1, a pair of four-leaf rotors 3 and 4 are provided to rotate freely in casing 2 having fluid inlet 2a and fluid outlet 2b. Boundary line l1 on one side where opening 2a of fluid inlet 2a intersects inner wall 2c of casing 2 is matched with the shape of the end part of one curved tooth, say, 3a, of rotor 3. Boundary line l2 on the other side is matched with a curved tooth, say, 4a, of rotor 4. Here, the distance between boundary lines l1, and l2, namely, the circumferential length of the circular are part of inner wall 2c is set at least at more than 2 π/Z, and thereby connection between inlet 2a and outlet 2b is prevented at all times.
