Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a converter which requires no adjustment by making longer either microstrip lines crossing a ridge line at right angles, and then by forming a loop by connecting tips of microstrip lines together. CONSTITUTION:At the position a quarter signal wavelength away from the shorted surface of short waveguide 1, microstrip line 8 is caused to pierce the H surface of the waveguide perpendicularly, and microstrip line 11 is elongated longer than microstrip lines 10 and 11 are connected together outside the waveguide, and outputting microstrip line 12 is connected to the contact. A signal propagating through waveguide 1 is branched to microstrip lines 10 and 11 and then outputted through microstrip line 12. Consequently, the signal is transmitted efficiently from the waveguide to the microstrip line.
