Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide suitable size of low pressure bypass valve and to eliminate a trouble such as abrupt pressure change or the like caused thereby by providing a converter for producing set pressure of low pressure bypass inversely proportional to pressure drop between stages of a steam turbine apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: A converter circuit 24 for producing set pressure of low pressure bypass inversely proportional to the output signal from an medium-stage pressure drop detector 15 of an intermediate pressure turbine produces a 100% output when the medium-stage pressure drop of the turbine is "0", that is, the incoming steam amount of the turbine is "0", and produces a "0" output when the medium-stage pressure drop is 50%, that is, steam of full low pressure bypass capacity flows into the turbine. A high level priority circuit 18 selectively produces a maximum value of the values from the converter circuit 24 through a time delay element 25 in addition to the medium-stage pressure level of the turbine from a converter 16 and set pressure level 17.
