Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate improper ignition in a two-fuel burning pressure spray type fuel nozzle even if residual fuel therein is purged.
CONSTITUTION: In a system in which a liquid fuel supply tube 4 and a gas fuel supply tube 3 are respectively connected to a fuel nozzle 2 mounted at a burner 1, a purging conduit 23 is branched from the midway of the tube 4 and connected through a manifold 24 and a purging gas fuel supply conduit 14 to the tube 3, a compressed air supply tube 25 is connected to the manifold 24, and there are provided at the tube 25 sequentially from the downstream side a check valve 26, a stop valve 27, a safety valve 28, a compressor 29, and a filter 30. When gas fuel starts burning, compressed air is introduced to a liquid fuel passage to thereby purge the residual iquid fuel in the passage. When switching from the liquid fuel burning to gas fuel burning, gas fuel is introduced into a liquid fuel passage to thereby purge the residual liquid fuel in the passage.
