Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture a high-grade polyurethane foam having improved filling property with few froth voids, by mixing a polyol component with a primary blowing agent in an in-line mixer, and by mixing a polyisocyanate with the mixture, using a mixing head.
CONSTITUTION: A polyol component comprising a polyol, a secondary blowing agent which is a liquid at normal temperature and pressure and has a boiling point of 20W80°C, and a catalyst is fed from the tank 1 to the conduit 4, and mixed with the liquid primary blowing agent which is a gas at normal temperature and pressure and is fed from the gas cylinder 3 under a pressure of 10W20 kg/cm2 through the conduit 6 to the conduit 4 and in the in-line mixer 12 under an internal pressure of 2.0W5.0 kg/cm2. The mixture is then fed through the conduits 4' and mixed with a polyisocyanate component which is fed from the tank 2 through the conduit 3 into the mixing head 7 and primarily foamed, then cast into a place for molding a foam or a mold via the conduit 8, and frothed.
