Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop alarm sound after lapse of a fixed time with a simple constitution by applying the signal through a mechanical alarm setting device to a 1/n counter which controls a time announcement generating circuit 32. CONSTITUTION:The time announcement sound from an alarm sound producing device 26 is produced through a 1/n counter 30 which is reset when the time announcement generating time is reached and a time announcement generating circuit 32 and the time accouncement sound is stopped by the output of the circuit 32 at the counting of the specified number of the divided outputs of the frequency dividing circuit 22 of the counter 30. On the other hand, when the alarm sound is set in a mechanical alarm setting device 28, a NOR gate 58 and AND gate 66 are opened by the inversion outputs of FFs 50, 54 and the alarm sound is produced from the device 26. On the other hand, the counter 30 and circuit 32 are reset by the inversion output of the FF 56 and similarly the alarm sound is stopped through the NOR gate 68 after a fixed time by the simple constitution of making common use of the counter, thus the consumption of unnecessary power is prevented.
