Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the anti-corrosion property while maintaining the strength by the use of a double centrifugal cast pipe consisting of the inner layer made of high Cr cast iron of Cr 16 to 33 weight % composition and the outer layer made of carbon steel.
CONSTITUTION: In operating double centrifugal casting, carbon steel or low alloy steel is used for the outer layer. Particularly, expansion steel is desirable. These steels have a large tensile strength and a large toughness so that they reinforce the strength of the inner layer material. When high Cr cast iron or steel of Cr 16 to 33 weight % containing 0.5 to 4.5 weight % of C is used for the inner layer material, hard chrome carbide is formed in the inner layer material. For this reason, the anti- corrosion property of the material is increased, and it exhibits effect in a well ejecting sand in geothermal steam.
