Abstract

PURPOSE: To concentrate various measurement quantities and enable plural measurement quantities for sewage and waste water to be obtained with the single apparatus by integrally constituting an electromagnetic flowmeter and an ultrasonic densitometer by using a common measuring tube.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of ultrasonic wave vibrators 2, 3 serving also as detecting electrodes are provided opposedly to a measuring tube 1. Since a magnetic field is held applied to the fluid path of this measuring tube 1, a potential difference between the vibrator electrodes 2, 3 is generated and the flow rate of the fluid is measured with a flow measuring circuit 45, which in turn outputs flow rate value. On the other hand, concentration measuring acoustic wave are being radiated from the vibrator electrode 2 by the signal from the output end a of a drive signal generating circuit 41 at ordinary time. These are received by the electrode 3 and from the receiving signal thereof, the concentration value is outputted from a concentration measuring circuit 44. Further, the contents flow rate value is outputted from a multiplier 46 and the dispersant flow rate value from a subtractor 47. In addition, a changeover switch 42 is changed over by a timer 43, by which the powerful acoustic wave generating sigbal for cleaning is applied to the vibrator electrode 2, whereby the electrode is cleaned.
