Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to drive control rod continuously with micro-adjustment by providing a nut for part of cylinder connected with the control rod, nut of which is put in a screw, and providing a revolving stop device of screw.
CONSTITUTION: Current transmitted to magnetic brake 30 is shut off for stopping control rod 9. The control rod position is fixed when the revolution of screw 26 is stopped. For insertion of control rod 9, the pressure is applied to the bottom of drive piston 11 by introducing the insertion driving water 13 to apply the force upward. By releasing the brake applied to screw rod 26 by energizing magnetic brake 30, the drive piston 11 starts to elevate and the screw 26 starts to rotate. The magnetic brake 30 is unenergized when the control rod 9 is inserted into the preset position from the command of tachometer 29. The brake is applied to screw 26 to stop the drive piston 11.
