Abstract

PURPOSE: To cushion heat shock at a feed water inlet nozzle by incroporating a standby opening setting unit in a controller, which prevents feed water from rapid change in temperature occurring after a turbine is tripped.
CONSTITUTION: A standby opening setting unit 37, which outputs a standby opening setting signal 37A in relation with a feed water temperature signal 23c and a regulation valve 22 affected by the heat balance and the property of a feed water heating pipe, the opening of the regulation valve 22 approximately equal to the opening regulated after turbine trip during standby of a control 30 and holds the opening hereafter. Once the turbine is tripped, a main steam stop valve 5, a steam regulation valve 6, and a bleed stop valve 8a are closed and a turbine trip signal 24A opens a stop valve 21 of the heating steam pipe 20 and a bypass valve 27 of a drain bypass pipe 11b so that the regulation valve 22 opened to a specified extent permits feed water heating steam to run into a feed water heater 9. Feed water can be therefore prevented from rapid change in temperature if the turbine is tripped.
