Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition having improved properties of constituents, fluidity, impact resistance, dimensional stability, heat resistance, surface hardness, etc., obtained by blending a modified polycarbonate prepared by polymerizing a vinyl monomer on an aromatic polycarbonate particle with a specific thermoplastic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A) 100 parts by wt. of an improved polycarbonate resin obtained by impregnating a vinyl or a vinylidene monomer into particles of polycarbonate resin in an aqueous solution until the content of the monomer impregnated into or adhering to the particles reaches not less than 50 wt.% based on the amount of monomers used, and by polymerizing the monomer in the presence of a polymerization initiator under heating is blended with B) 5W250 parts by wt., preferably 20W 200 parts by wt. of a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of an aromatic polycarbonate, thermoplastic styrene, thermoplastic (meth)acrylic vinyl chloride resins, and their mixtures in molten state. The addition of C) an inorganic filler improves reinforcing effect and dimensional stability further.
