Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the chip area of the integrated circuit by securing the correspondence between the RAM address and the display digit and then generating the digit signal of the indicator from the address selection signal obtained from the address designation signal.
CONSTITUTION: The output of address decoder 13 corresponds to the output of AND circuits A0WA8 in RAM11 with memory cell C provided for each 4 bits. For instance, corresponding memory cells C10, C20, C30 and C40 are read out at one time by the output of AND circuit A0, and at the same time this output is supplied to segment decoder 14. And 4-bit address designation signals AWD are applied to decoder 13 from address bus 12 and then combined with the signals given from inverters 1aW1d to be supplied to circuits A0WA8. The output of decoder 13 is supplied to digit signal display driving circuits D0WD8 as well as to RAM11. The output of circuits D0WD8 are supplied to corresponding digit display parts d0W d8 of indicator 15 and then supply the signals to the segments of each digit of 15 along with the output of decoder 14 for display.
