Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit an optimum period of time taken for damping with respect to the movement of the piston to be maintained irrespective of the magnitude of the load acting upon the piston by providing an inner throttle valve which operates in two steps.
CONSTITUTION: The cylinder system includes a valve rod 10 elastically projecting from a piston structure 8 toward the end wall of a cylinder 7 and a frictional valve body 25 elastically urged within a valve cylinder 22 mounted on the end wall of the cylinder 7 toward the piston structure 8. The area of the opening of an orifice 24 communicating with a fluid supply and exhaust duct 21 formed in the valve cylinder 22 is controlled with the movement of the frictional valve body 25 in the axial direction with the pressure within the chamber A. When an orifice 26 in the valve body 25 is closed by the valve rod 11, fluid is admitted through a communication hole 16. Thus, the piston structure 8 is smoothly moved and stopped under a condition of co-operation of individual parts, and an optimum interval of time required for the buffering can be maintained.
