Abstract

PURPOSE:H2O and CO2 in compressed air is absorbed and removed by three zeolite absorber towers. A special conditions are used for absorption and regeneration by using impure N2 to reduce the amount of N2 use, to increase N2 recovery as product and to control the changes of flow rate and pressure of air and N2. CONSTITUTION:Air 5 is compressed 1, cooled 2, and introduced into the zeolite absorb tower 4a to remove H2O and CO2 and transferred into the air separator 3. From impure N2 11 of the deparator 3, 50 to 95% is sent through the pipe 12b to the absorb tower 4b for desorption and regeneration, and is discharged from the pipes 13b, 19. The tower 4b stops desorbing operation, into which compressed air is passed through to go out from the pipes 6b, 7b.
