Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第1の複数のタイムスロットを含む時分割多重接続通信のための第1のプロ トコルと、 第2の複数のタイムスロットを含む時分割多重接続通信のための第2のプロト コルと、 上記第1のプロトコル又は上記第2のプロトコルのいずれかに従って選択的に 通信を行うための手段とを備えた通信システム。 2.上記第1の複数のタイムスロットの各タイムスロットは、上記第2の複数の タイムスロットのうちの整数のタイムスロットに等しい持続時間を有する請求項 1記載の通信システム。 3.上記第1のプロトコルは時間分割デュプレックスプロトコルであり、上記第 2のプロトコルは周波数分割デュプレックスプロトコルである請求項1記載の通 信システム。 4.上記第2のプロトコルはGSMプロトコルである請求項1記載の通信システ ム。 5.上記第1の複数のタイムスロット及び上記第2の複数のタイムスロットは、 集合的に1つの複合タイムフレームを備えた請求項1記載の通信システム。 6.統合化された基地局をさらに備え、上記統合化された基地局は、上記第1の プロトコルに従って動作するように構成された第1の基地局装置と、上記第2の プロトコルに従って動作するように構成された第2の基地局装置とを備えた請求 項1記載の通信システム。 7.上記第1の基地局装置と上記第2の基地局装置との間の同期信号をさらに備 えた請求項6記載の通信システム。 8.上記統合化された基地局は、GPS受信機を備えた請求項6記載の通信シス テム。 9.第1のセルラー領域内の時分割多重接続通信のための第1のプロトコルに従 って動作する第1の基地局装置と、 上記第1のセルラー領域と少なくとも部分的に重複する第2のセルラー領域内 での時分割多重接続のための第2のプロトコルに従って動作する第2の基地局装 置と、 上記第1の基地局装置から上記第2の基地局装置に接続される同期信号とを備 え、これによって、上記第1のプロトコルを使用する上記第1の基地局装置とユ ーザ局との間の第1の通信は、上記第1の通信と上記第2の通信の間の衝突を避 けるように、上記第2のプロトコルを使用する上記第2の基地局装置とユーザ局 との間の第2の通信と調整される通信システム。 10.上記第1の基地局装置及び上記第2の基地局装置は同一の場所に配置され る請求項9記載の通信システム。 11.上記第1の基地局装置及び上記第2の基地局装置は少なくとも1つの共通 のアンテナを共用する請求項9記載の通信システム。 12.クロック発生器に接続されるGPS受信機をさらに備え、上記クロック発 生器は、上記同期信号を出力する請求項9記載の通信システム。 13.上記第1のプロトコルは時間分割デュプレックスプロトコルであり、上記 第2のプロトコルは周波数分割デュプレックスプロトコルである請求項9記載の 通信システム。 14.上記第2のプロトコルはGSMプロトコルである請求項13記載の通信シ ステム。 15.上記第2の基地局装置は第1の周波数バンドで送信し、かつ第2の周波数 バンドで受信し、上記第1の基地局装置は上記第1の周波数バンド又は第2の周 波数バンドと少なくとも部分的に重複する第3の周波数バンドで送信し、かつ受 信する請求項13記載の通信システム。 16.上記第1の基地局装置及び上記第2の基地局装置は、同一の周波数バンド で通信を行う請求項9記載の通信システム。 17.それぞれ第1のグループのタイムスロットを備える複数の第1のタイムフ レームを画成するステップと、 それぞれ第2のグループのタイムスロットを備える複数の第2のタイムスロッ トを画成するステップとを含み、上記第1のグループのタイムスロット及び上記 第2のグループのタイムスロットは一時的に重複し、 上記第1のグループのタイムスロット及び上記第2のグループのタイムスロッ トからただ1つのタイムスロットのみにおいて指定された時間に選択的に通信を 行うステップを含む通信のための方法。 18.上記第1のグループのタイムスロット及び上記第2のグループのタイムス ロットからの1つのタイムスロットのみにおいて指定されたときに選択的に通信 を行う上記ステップは、上記第1のグループのタイムスロットからの第1のタイ ムスロットにおいて時間分割デュプレックスで通信を行い、上記第2のグループ のタイムスロットからの第2のタイムスロットにおいて周波数分割デュプレック スで通信を行うステップを含む請求項17記載の方法。 19.時間分割デュプレックスで通信を行う上記ステップは、スペクトル拡散フ ォーマットで第1のメッセージを送信するステップを含み、周波数分割デュプレ ックスで通信を行う上記ステップは、GSMフォーマットで第2のメッセージを 送信するステップを含む請求項18記載の方法。 20.第1のプロトコルに従って動作する第1の基地局装置を備え、これによっ て、第1の複数のユーザ局と上記第1の基地局装置の間の通信は、複数のタイム スロットで周波数分割デュプレックスを使用して実行され、上記第1の基地局装 置は、第1の馬波数バンドで送信しかつ第2の周波数バンドで受信し、 第2のプロトコルに従って動作する第2の基地局装置を備え、これによって、 第2の複数のユーザ局と上記第2の基地局装置の間の通信は、時間分割デュプレ ックスを使用して実行され、上記第1の基地局装置は、上記第1の周波数バンド 及び上記第2の周波数バンドのうちの少なくとも1つで送信しかつ受信し、 上記第1の基地局装置と上記第2の基地局装置の間の同期信号を備えた通信シ ステム。 21.上記第1の基地局装置は、GSMフォーマットでメッセージを送信しかつ 受信する請求項20記載の通信システム。 22.上記第2の基地局装置は、スペクトル拡散フォーマットでメッセージを送 信しかつ受信する請求項20記載の通信システム。 23.GPS受信機をさらに備えた請求項20記載の通信システム。 24.通信システムにおける通信のためのタイミング構造であって、 一連の複合タイムフレームと、 上記複合タイムフレームのそれぞれにおいて配置され、それぞれ第1の予め定 義された持続期間である複数の第1のタイムスロットと、 上記複合タイムフレームのそれぞれにおいて配置され、それぞれ第2の予め定 義された持続期間である複数の第2のタイムスロットとを備えた通信のためのタ イミング構造。 25.上記第1のタイムスロット及び上記第2のタイムスロットの相対的な位置 決めは、上記複合タイムフレームのそれぞれにおけるそれと同一である請求項2 4記載のタイミング構造。 26.上記第1のタイムスロットは第1の通信プロトコルと関連し、上記第2の タイムスロットは上記第2の通信プロトコルと関連する請求項24記載のタイミ ング構造。 27.上記第1の通信プロトコルは時間分割デュプレックスプロトコルであり、 上記第2のプロトコルは周波数分割デュプレックスプロトコルである請求項26 記載のタイミング構造。 28.上記第2の通信プロトコルはGSMプロトコルである請求項27記載のタ イミング構造。 29.上記第1の予め定義された持続時間は上記第2の予め定義された持続期間 の2倍である請求項25記載のタイミング構造。 30.第1の周波数バンドで、基地からユーザへの第1のメッセージを、第1の 基地局装置から第1のユーザ局に送信するステップと、 上記基地からユーザへの第1のメッセージを上記第1のユーザ局において受信 するステップと、 上記第1の周波数バンドと少なくとも部分的に重複する第2の周波数バンドで 、ユーザから基地への第1のメッセージを第2の基地局装置から第2の基地局装 置に送信するステップと、 上記第2の基地局装置において上記ユーザから基地への第1のメッセージを受 信するステップと、 上記第2の周波数バンドで、基地からユーザへの第2のメッセージを上記第2 の基地局装置から上記第2のユーザ局に送信するステップと、 上記第2のユーザ局において、上記基地からユーザへの第2のメッセージを受 信するステップと、 上記第1の周波数バンドとは分離して明確に異なる第3の周波数バンドで、ユ ーザから基地への第2のメッセージを上記第1の基地局から上記第1の基地局装 置に送信するステップと、 上記第2の基地局装置において、上記ユーザから基地への第2のメッセージを 受信するステップとを含む通信を行うための方法。 31.上記ユーザから基地への第1のメッセージ、及び上記基地からユーザへの 第2のメッセージは、スペクトル拡散メッセージとして送信され、上記基地から ユーザへの第1のメッセージ、及び上記ユーザから基地への第2のメッセージは 、狭帯域メッセージとして送信される請求項30記載の方法。 32.上記第1の基地局装置及び上記第2の基地局装置は、同一の場所に設けら れた請求項30記載の方法。 33.上記基地からユーザへの第1のメッセージ、及び上記ユーザから基地への 第2のメッセージはGSMプロトコルに従って送信される請求項30記載の方法 。 34.上記第1の周波数バンドは、上記第2の周波数バンド内に完全に含まれる 請求項30記載の方法。 35.通信システムにおける通信のためのタイミング構造であって、 18.46ミリ秒の持続時間を有する複合タイムフレームと、 上記複合タイムフレームにおいて複数の第1のタイムスロットとを備え、上記 第1のタイムスロットのそれぞれは、別の周波数バンドに配置された対応する第 2の半二重GSM通信リンクとともに、半二重GSM通信リンクをサポートし、 上記複合タイムフレームにおいて複数の第2のタイムスロットを備え、上記第 2のタイムスロットのそれぞれは上記第1のスロットのうちの1つの持続時間の 2倍を有し、上記第2のタイムスロットのそれぞれは2つの半二重時分割通信リ ンクをサポートする通信のためのタイミング構造。 36.上記2つの半二重時分割通信リンクは、集合的に全二重時分割通信リンク を形成する請求項35記載のタイミング構造。 37.上記第1のタイムスロットのそれぞれは約576.92マイクロ秒の持続 時間を有し、上記第2のタイムスロットのそれぞれは、約1153.125マイ クロ秒の持続時間を有する請求項35記載のタイミング構造。
