Abstract

(57)【要約】 【課題】 複合管同士を継手を介して互いに接合する場
合に、管内に継手が突出せず、しかも、管端加熱時に内
面管および外面管が剥離することがなく、更に、管径に
無関係に適用できる。 【解決手段】 金属管7の内側に内面管8Aが被せら
れ、金属管7の外側に外面管8Bが被せられ、内面管8
Aおよび外面管8Bは、何れも合成樹脂からなる複合管
の継手構造において、金属 管7の管端から内面管8A
の管端のみを突出させ、内面管8Aの管端外周面と外面
管8Bの管端外周面との間に装着される、内面管8Aお
よび外面管8Bと同一材質の管状継手本体9と、継手
本体9内に埋設された通電発熱体10とからなる。継手
本体9の内面には、金属管7および外面管8Bの端面が
当接される段部9Aが形成されている。通電発熱体10
に通電して、継手本体9と内面管8Aおよび外面管8B
の管端とを加熱溶融して、これらを一体化する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、複合管の継手構
造、特に、金属管の内面に合成樹脂製内面管が、そし
て、外面に合成樹脂製外面管が被せられたものからなる
複合管同士を継手を介して互いに接合する場合に、管内
に継手が突出せず、しかも、管端加熱時に内面管および
外面管が剥離することがなく、更に、管径に無関係に適
用できる、複合管の継手構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】鋼管等の金属管内外面にポリエチレン管
等の合成樹脂管を挿入したものからなる複合管は、合成
樹脂管の作用によって耐食性に優れ、且つ、金属管の肉
厚を薄くすることかできることから軽量化が図れて、取
扱いが容易であるといった利点を有している。従って、
このような利点を有する複合管は、上下水道管等に広く
使用されている。
【0003】特開平5−196187号公報には、上記
複合管の接合方法が開示されている。同公報に開示され
た複合管の継手構造(以下、この継手構造を従来技術と
いう。)を、図面を参照しながら説明する。図4は、従
来技術を示す概略断面図である。
【0004】図4に示すように、従来技術は、金属管1
と、金属管1の内側に配された合成樹脂製内面管2とか
らなる複合管3の接続管端に熱可塑性合成樹脂製継手4
を装着し、この継手4の周囲に誘導 加熱コイル5を配
し、誘導加熱コイル5に高周波電流を通電することによ
り金属管1を誘導加熱して、継手4と合成樹脂管2の管
端とを溶融して、これらを一体化し、かくして、金属管
1同士を継手4を介して互いに接合するものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上述し
た方法は、次のような問題点を有している。 複合管の耐食性を向上させる場合には、図4に示す
ように、金属管1の内側に内面管2を配す必要がある
が、この場合には、継手4が内面管2の内側に突出す
る。従って、複合管3内の水流に悪影響を及ぼす。 複合管3の周囲に配する誘導加熱用コイル5の径
は、複合管3の外径毎に変える必要があるので、コスト
高となる。 金属管1の誘導加熱により、内面管2の管端及び継
手4を溶融して、これらを一体化するが 、誘導加熱さ
れた金属管1の熱によって、加熱の必要がない内面管2
の管端部分が加熱されてしまい、この部分の内面管2が
金属管1から剥離する等の恐れがある。
【0006】従って、この発明の目的は、金属管の内面
に合成樹脂製内面管が、そして、外面に合成樹脂製外面
管が被せられたものからなる複合管同士を継手を介して
互いに接合する場合に、管内に継手が突出せず、しか
も、管端加熱時に内面管および外面管が剥離することが
なく、更に、管径に無 関係に適用できる、複合管の継
手構造を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】請求項1記載の発明は、
金属管の内側に内面管が被せられ、前記金属管の外側に
外面管が被せられ、前記内面管および前記外面管は、何
れも合成樹脂からなる複合管の継手構造において、前記
金属管の管端から前記内面管の管端のみを突出させ、前
記内面管の管端外周面と前記外面管の管端外周面との間
に装着される、前記内面管および前記外面管と同一材質
の管状継手本体と、前記継手本体内に埋設された通電発
熱体とからなり、前記継手本体の内面には、前記金属管
および前記外面管の端面が当接される段部が形成され、
前記通電発熱体に通電して、前記継手本体と前記内面管
および前記外面管の管端とを加熱溶融して、これらを一
体化し、かくして、前記複合管 同士を前記継手本体を
介して互いに接合することに特徴を有するものである。
【0008】請求項2記載の発明は、前記段部の軸方向
中央部内面には、前記内面管の端面が当接される管端位
置決め用突起が形成されていることに特徴を有するもの
である。
【0009】請求項3記載の発明は、前記金属管および
前記外面管の端面と前記段部との間に、ゴム輪が嵌め込
まれていることに特徴を有する有するものである。請求
項4記載の発明は、前記金属管および前記外面管の端面
と前記段部との隙間内の空気を抜くための空気抜き孔が
前記継手本体内に形成されていることに特徴を有するも
のである。

【発明の実施の形態】この発明の、複合管の継手構造の
一実施態様を、図面を参照しながら説明する。
【0011】図1は、この発明の、複合管の継手構造の
一実施態様を示す部分断面図、図2は、この発明の、複
合管の継手構造の別の実施態様を示す部分断面図、そし
て、図3は、この発明の、複合管の継手構造の更に別の
実施態様を示す部分断面図である。
【0012】図1において、6は、複合管である。複合
管6は、鋼管等の金属管7と、金属管7の内側に被せら
れた内面管8Aと、金属管7の外側に被せられた外面管
8Bとからなっている。外面管8B の管端は、金属管7
の管端から長さ(L)だけ突出している。9は、内面管
8Aの管端外周面と外面管8Bの管端外周面との間に装
着される管状継手本体である。継手本体9は、内面管8
Aおよび外面管8Bと同一材質からなっている。継手本
体9の内面には、金属管7および外面管8Bの端面が当
接される段部9Aが形成されている。段部9Aの軸方向
中央部内面に、管端位置決め用突起9Bをリング状に形
成すれば、管端の位置決めが容易に行える。この場合、
突起9Bの高さは、突起9Bが内面管8Aの内面から突
出しない高さとする。
【0013】継手本体9内には、通電発熱体10がコイ
ル状に埋め込まれている。通電発熱体10には、ターミ
ナル11から通電できるようになっている。通電発熱体
10は、ニクロム線以外に通電発熱 繊維であっても良
い。通電発熱繊維は、マイクロメタルファイバーとアラ
ミド繊維とからなっており、優れた柔軟性及び耐久性を
有し、ニクロム線とほぼ同等の電気熱特性を有してい
る。
【0014】この発明の継手構造は、以上のように構成
されているので、複合管6同士は、以下のようにして互
いに接合される。内面管8Aの管端が継手本体9の突起
9Bに当接するように、継手本体9を合複合管6の管端
の外周面間に装着する。次に、ターミナル11に電源を
接続して通電発熱体10に通電する。これによって、継
手本体9と内面管8A及び外面管8Bの管端とが加熱溶
融して、これらが一体化する。かくして、複合管6同士
が継手本体9を介して互いに接合される。
【0015】この発明によれば、内面管8Aの管端を金
属管7の管端から突出させることによって、継手本 体
9の内面から内面管8Aが突出しない。従って、複合管
3内の水流に悪影響を及ぼす恐れはな い。
【0016】しかも、通電発熱体11は、継手本体9内
に容易に埋設することができるので、誘導加熱コイ ル
を複合管3の外径毎に変えて用意する場合に比べて、コ
ストは安く済む。
【0017】更に、継手本体9と直接、接触する合成樹
脂管8の表層のみが優先的に溶融するので、誘導加熱に
よる場合に比べて、加熱の必要がない内面管8A及び外
面管8Bの管端部分が加熱される恐れは少ない。従っ
て、管端加熱時に内面管8Aおよび外面管8Bが金属管
7から剥離することが ない。
【0018】図2に示すように、金属管7および外面管
8Bの端面と段部9Aとの間に、ゴム輪12を嵌め込め
ば、継手部分のシール効果が更に向上する。更に、図3
に示すように、金属管7および外面管8Bの端面と段部
9Aとの隙間内の空気を抜くための空気抜き孔9Cを継
手本体9内に形成すれば、融着時の発熱に伴う空気の膨
張分を外部に逃がすことができる。従って、空気膨張に
よる融着不良の問題がなくなる。なお、図2および図3
において、図1と同一番号は、同一物を示す。

【発明の効果】以上説明したように、この発明によれ
ば、金属管の内面に合成樹脂製内面管が、そして、外面
に合成樹脂製外面管が被せられたものからなる複合管同
士を継手を介して互いに接合する場合に、管内に継手が
突出せず、しかも、管端加熱時に内面管および外面管が
剥離することがなく、更に、管径に無関係に適用できる
といった有用な効果がもたらされる。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 金属管の内側に内面管が被せられ、前記
    金属管の外側に外面管が被せられ、 前記内面管および
    前記外面管は、何れも合成樹脂からなる複合管の継手構
    造において、 前記金属管の管端から前記内面管の管端のみを突出さ
    せ、前記内面管の管端外周面と前記外面 管の管端外周
    面との間に装着される、前記内面管および前記外面管と
    同一材質の管状継手本体と、前記継手本体内に埋設され
    た通電発熱体とからなり、前記継手本体の内面には、前
    記金属管および前記外面管の端面が当接される段部が形
    成され、前記通電発熱体に通電して、前記継手本体と前
    記内面管および前記外面管の管端とを加熱溶融して、こ
    れらを一体化し、かくして、前記複合管同士を前記継手
    本体を介して互いに接合することを特徴とする、複合管
    の継手構造。
  2. 【請求項2】 前記段部の軸方向中央部内面には、前記
    内面管の端面が当接される管端位置決め用突起が形成さ
    れていることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の継手構造。
  3. 【請求項3】 前記金属管および前記外面管の端面と前
    記段部との間には、ゴム輪が嵌め込まれていることを特
    徴とする、請求項1または2記載の継手構造。
  4. 【請求項4】 前記金属管および前記外面管の端面と前
    記段部との隙間内の空気を抜くための空気抜き孔が前記
    継手本体内に形成されていることを特徴とする、請求項
    1から3のうちの何れか1つに記載された継手構造。
