Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink which contains lithium cobalt titanate as a pigment material and can develop the same cobalt blue as that of the ink which is packed in the writing implement and visible from the outside, when the ink is used for drawing. SOLUTION: This ink is used in a writing implement which has the ink container and the ink in the container is made visible from the outside. The water based pigment ink contains lithium cobalt titanate as a colorant. This lithium cobalt titanate is prepared by firing a mixture of titanium oxide, cobalt carbonate and lithium carbonate and is an inorganic sintered powder and is used preferably in an amount of 5-20wt.%. In addition, water is used as a medium in an amount of 40-95wt.% based on the whole ink. Thus, this ink can be expected to be excellent in its color visibility.

However, in the ink using the coloring material, the barrel of the writing instrument body or the barrel of the refill is formed of a transparent or translucent material so that the remaining amount of the ink can be visually recognized from the outside. When used for a writing instrument with a transparent or translucent part of the barrel, the absorption of the incident light of the ink is greater than that of the reflected light, and the color of the ink in the ink container and the color of the handwriting Are very different and look almost black. Therefore, it is difficult to distinguish the black ink from the appearance. In addition, there is a disadvantage that the aesthetic appearance is low and the display effect at stores is low. Further, in the color display of the ink, it is necessary to make the tail stopper, the cap, and the like the same color as the handwriting, and there is a problem that the cost is easily increased.
In particular, there is a problem that aluminum cobalt oxide is not suitable for ink for writing implements because it is expensive, has low coloring power and needs to be added in a large amount.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. The writing implement having an ink storage section and allowing the ink in the ink storage section to be visually recognized from the outside is a so-called ink built-in type in which the ink storage section is formed directly in the shaft cylinder that is the writing tool main body as described above. Alternatively, a so-called refill type in which the inside of the barrel is an ink storage portion, and a refill having a pen tip attached to one end thereof is inserted into and fixed in the barrel of the writing implement body. Furthermore, an ink storage body such as a fiber converging body may be arranged in the ink storage unit. In order to make the ink in the ink storage unit visible from the outside of the writing implement, in the case of the so-called built-in ink type, it is necessary to form the main body barrel with a transparent or translucent material, and in the case of the refill type , The refill and the writing implement body must be formed of a transparent or translucent material. Of course, only a part of the refill or the writing instrument body may be transparent or translucent.

Lithium cobalt titanate, a coloring material used in the present invention, is an inorganic sintered powder obtained by heating and firing a mixture of titanium oxide, cobalt carbonate and lithium carbonate and pulverizing the mixture. As a commercially available lithium cobalt titanate, Finecera SNB-1 (manufactured by Nikko Rika Co., Ltd.) can be mentioned. The amount used is preferably 5 to 20% by weight based on the total amount of the aqueous pigment ink for writing implements. If it is less than 5% by weight, the concealing power of the handwriting may be insufficient, and if it exceeds 20% by weight, the writing feeling and the ink dischargeability may be reduced.

[Function] Since lithium cobalt titanate is a sintered powder, the porosity of the surface is small. Therefore, the ratio of reflecting incident light is higher than the ratio of absorbing incident light. Therefore, since the ratio of the light incident on the ink reflected by the lithium cobalt titanate is large, it is presumed that the ink has excellent color visibility when viewed from the outside.

As described above, the aqueous pigment ink for writing implements obtained in Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 was replaced with a ballpoint pen tip using a 0.8 mm-diameter ball (material: superhard) by a polypropylene cylinder (transparent). 0.8 g is filled in the cylinder of the ballpoint pen fitted into one end of the ballpoint pen, and 0.1 g of the ink backflow prevention body is filled in one end of the cylinder to form a ballpoint pen refill.
After air bubbles in the refill were centrifugally degassed, they were placed in a main body cylinder made of acrylonitrile / styrene copolymer resin, and the color of the ink was visually checked from the appearance, and then writing was performed. Example 3
The water-based pigment ink for writing implement obtained in the above is filled in a commercially available fluorescent marker (Exzo Data Checker, product code: SL25, manufactured by Pentel Co., Ltd., ink storage material: transparent with polypropylene) which is a writing implement with built-in ink. Then, after visually confirming the color tone of the ink from the appearance, it was written.
