で、このような連結ブロック4が複数あって、これを使
用するときは、別々の連結ブロック4の凹部2の面と凸
部3の面があうように両手でそれぞれの連結ブロック4
を持ち、凹部2と凸部3の場所をあわせ力を加える。図
2に示すように凸部3の先端の形状は凹部2の形状より
大きくできているが、伸縮性のある素材でできているた
めに力を加えることで凸部3の先端が収縮しながら門部
2の内部へと入り込み、凹部2の内部で凸部3の先端が
元の状態に戻ろうとするので外れにくくなり、連結ブロ
ックは連結される。分離する時も凹部2と凸部3の面が
離れるように力を加えることで凸部3の先端が一時的に
収縮し凹部2から外れることで分離を行う。このように
連結、分離は力を一時的に加えることで、この伸縮性の
ある素材の伸縮する特性をいかすことで自在に行うこと
ができる。例えば2ヶの連結ブロック4での連結例とし
て、図3(a)に示すように短辺側と短辺側の連結、図
3(b)に示すように長辺側と長辺側の連結、図3
(c)に示すように短辺側と長辺側の連結、図3(d)
に示すように長辺側と長辺側を90度ずらして連結など
がある。前記の図3のような連結を複数の連結ブロック
4で次々と行うことで様々な形をつくりだすことができ
る。その連結した結果できあがる形の例が図4に示すよ
うなキリンである。さらに図5に示すように連結ブロッ
ク4はそれ自体に柔軟性があるために連結させながら連
結させた集合体に力を加えることで変形させることがで
