In the humidifying device of the present invention, hydrogen peroxide water is used as the humidifying water. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide water is used for the purpose of sterilizing humidifying water only, or for sterilizing equipment and atmosphere,
Generally, 0.01 to 3% by weight is suitable, though it depends on whether or not it is used for deodorization. There is no particular limitation on the means for supplying the hydrogen peroxide solution, and the hydrogen peroxide solution may be directly supplied from another source or may be manufactured in the apparatus. However, as shown in the present embodiment, it is very convenient to use the electrolytic cell 1 for producing hydrogen peroxide solution as the hydrogen peroxide supply means 1 and produce it in the apparatus. Electrolyzer 1 that can be preferably used in the present invention
Will be described. The electrolyzer 1 is generally constructed by providing an anode 6 and a cathode 7 of a gas diffusion electrode having an air flow path 8 on the back side facing the anode with an electrolysis chamber 5 in an insulating casing 16. The electrolytic chamber 5 is provided with an inlet and an outlet for hydrogen peroxide solution (or water) which is an electrolytic solution, and an air passage is provided with an inlet and an outlet for air. The anode 6 is made of a material that is not easily oxidized and corroded. A material in which titanium that does not generate cations is coated with iridium or platinum is suitable. Although a gas diffusion electrode is used as the cathode 7, both air permeability and an electrode function are required. The thinner the cathode plate is, the higher the air permeability is, which is advantageous, but the mechanical strength is lowered, so that it is necessary to design and operate so as not to apply a high pressure. As a specific constituent material, a material obtained by kneading powder of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or the like mainly in carbon black and molding the material is suitable.

In this embodiment, air is passed through the back surface of the cathode 7 and humidified water is passed from the humidified water storage tank 9 as an electrolytic solution into the electrolysis chamber 5, hydrogen peroxide is generated by reduction electrolysis and dissolved in the humidified water. The hydrogen oxide water is circulated and stored in the humidifying water storage tank 9. If necessary, humidifying water is repeatedly circulated between the humidifying water storage tank 9 and the electrolysis chamber 5 to increase the concentration of hydrogen peroxide, or the raw water supply pipe 15 is used to replenish and dilute the concentration of water. Can be adjusted. There is no particular limitation on the method of circulating the humidifying water, and an appropriate water supply means such as a circulation pump can be used. As a preferable circulation means, there is a method of attaching an air lift 10 in the humidifying water storage tank 9 to suck the electrolytic solution in the electrolytic chamber 5. The air that operates the air lift 10 can be used by guiding the air that has passed through the back surface of the cathode 7 or the excess air of the air pump 12 that supplies air to the back surface of the cathode 7 to the air lift 10. In the present invention, without providing a humidifying water storage tank to circulate the humidifying water,
The hydrogen peroxide solution generated in the electrolysis chamber can be directly introduced to the ultrasonic humidifier.

As the raw water used in the present invention, water containing a large amount of highly conductive electrolyte is generally desirable for the purpose of electrolysis itself. However, in the present invention, in practice, tap water that can be used very easily without special pretreatment, or 100 to 300 μS / same as tap water.
It is possible to use clean groundwater having conductivity of about cm and water quality. For this reason, it is preferable to set the distance between the anode 6 and the cathode 7 to about 0.2 to 5 mm.
This is because electrolytic reduction can be reasonably carried out at a low voltage even if the conductivity is low. In addition, the excessive source pressure from the raw water supply pipe is
Take care not to damage the electrolytic cell, especially the cathode.

The air used in the present invention is an air supply means,
For example, the air pump 12 or a pressurized cylinder is used to supply the air to the air passage. The voltage may be adjusted to increase the current if extra hydrogen peroxide needs to be generated, but in addition to the gas having a higher oxygen concentration than air in the supply air, for example, PSA oxygen generation. The air may be used after being enriched with oxygen by adding an oxygen-containing gas having an oxygen concentration of 90 to 95%, oxygen in a cylinder, etc. The oxygen-enriched air can be circulated to the air flow path for economical use.

Electrolytic reduction is carried out in the electrolysis chamber, and oxygen in the air is reduced to produce hydrogen peroxide as shown by the following equations (a) and (b). O 2 + H 2 O + 2e → HO 2 + OH (a) HO 2 + OH + 2H + → H 2 O 2 + H 2 O (b) DC power is supplied to the electrolytic cell from the power source through the lead wire. Normally, since an AC power source is used, a DC converter (not shown) such as a thyristor is used to convert AC to DC. Since the electrolyzer 1 is energized, it is necessary to pay attention to the insulation and grounding of the casing 16 and the like. The hydrogen peroxide solution is circulated repeatedly until the desired concentration is reached, and the hydrogen peroxide produced is dissolved. The hydrogen peroxide solution having reached the required concentration is stored in the humidifying water storage tank 9 and sent to the ultrasonic humidifier 2 during the humidifying operation.

Further, according to the present invention, by increasing the hydrogen peroxide concentration, not only the sterilization of stored humidifying water but also
It can be used for the purpose of sterilization, deodorization, disinfection, etc. of a room into which humidifying water is blown, or an article in contact with humidifying water. To obtain more powerful sterilization, deodorization, and disinfection effects,
An ozonizer 3 or the like utilizing silent discharge is used to create an ozonized gas, and the ozonized gas is used as a means for transporting fog droplets of hydrogen peroxide water. In addition to this, it is effective to irradiate the fog droplets of hydrogen peroxide solution with ultraviolet rays. It is considered that the generation of OH radicals contributes.

The chemical reaction between ozone and hydrogen peroxide produces OH radicals having a strong oxidizing power. It is also possible to irradiate ultraviolet rays as an auxiliary means and promote the generation of OH radicals by chemical reactions of ozone and ultraviolet rays, and hydrogen peroxide and ultraviolet rays to increase the generation amount. The generation of OH radicals by ozone and hydrogen peroxide is considered to be due to the reaction of ozone where hydrogen peroxide is in a dissociated state in water according to the following chemical formula.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY In the present invention, water containing hydrogen peroxide is used as humidifying water. The sterilizing power of hydrogen peroxide is effective for a long time, and therefore bacteria can not be propagated in the humidifying water storage tank and can be kept clean. Furthermore, since the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the humidifying water can be adjusted, it is possible to not only sterilize the stored humidifying water, but also sterilize, deodorize, disinfect, or oxidize the humidified water in the room or in contact with the humidifying water. Can be used for the purpose. According to the present invention, since OH radicals having a strong oxidizing power are released at the same time as water, an excellent bactericidal deodorizing effect can be expected as compared with the case of using only ozone gas. It can be used for sterilization and deodorization of trains and other vehicles after use, food factories and bio-related devices.
