Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a wide field of view by arranging a pair of left and right masts on the upper side of two straddle arms extending backward from a vehicle body in an order picking vehicle consisting of a fork, which vertically moves along a mast standingly arranged in the rear part of a vehicle body, and an operating cab vertically moving with the fork. CONSTITUTION: An order picking vehicle is provided with a mast part 2, which is standingly arranged in the rear part of a vehicle body 1 and consists of an inner mast 3 and an outer mast 4, and an operating cab 5, which can be moved freely in the vertical direction along the mast part 2 and is provided with a pair of forks 7 fixed on the lower face. A straddle arm 6 extending backward from the vehicle body 1 is also provided. In this case, the mast part 2 is lifted by the height of the straddle arm 6, while the lateral width of the mast part 2 is widened to the full width of the vehicle body 1. In this way, a wide field of view can be secured only by upward alteration of a roller installing position of a lift bracket.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an order-picking vehicle including a driver's cab vertically moving together with a fork vertically moving along a mast standing on the rear of the vehicle body as shown in the figure, the mast extends rearward from the vehicle body. According to the present invention, in any of the above-mentioned three embodiments, a wide field of view can be secured by simply changing the parts, and in the third embodiment, the inner mast upper portion is a distance a longer than the outer mast upper portion. Since the height is low, the amount by which the fork rises (in a range where the upper portion of the inner mast does not exceed the upper portion of the outer mast), that is, the so-called free lift amount, can be increased by 2a more than usual without changing the overall height.
