- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.樹脂成分から成る実質的に水不溶性のインキ組成物であって、前記樹脂 成分が水転化性樹脂を含む溶解性制御成分を含み、前記水転化性樹脂の水溶性が pH依存性であり、前記水転化性樹脂が前記インキ組成物を特定の酸性pHレベ ルでは水不溶性であるようにかつ特定のアルカリ性pHレベルでは水可洗性であ るようにさせるために充分な量で存在する前記組成物。 2.前記水転化性樹脂が約25〜200の酸価を有する請求項1記載のイン キ組成物。 3.前記水転化性樹脂が約30〜150の酸価を有する請求項2記載のイン キ組成物。 4.平版印刷用インキ組成物である請求項2記載のインキ組成物。 5.前記樹脂成分と相容性である油又は希釈剤成分を含み、前記油又は希釈 剤成分と樹脂成分とから成るインキワニスが約5〜60重量%の前記水転化性樹 脂を含む請求項2記載のインキ組成物。 6.前記インキワニスが約10〜40重量%の前記水転化性樹脂を含む請求 項5記載のインキ組成物。 7.前記樹脂成分と相容性である油又は希釈剤成分を含み、前記油又は希釈 剤成分と樹脂成分とから成るインキワニスが少なくとも約5重量%の前記水転化 性樹脂を含む請求項1記載のインキ組成物。 8.前記インキワニスが約5〜60重量%の前記水転化性樹脂を含む請求項 7記載のインキ組成物。 9.前記インキワニスが約10〜40重量%の前記水転化性樹脂を含む請求 項8記載のインキ組成物。 10.前記水転化性樹脂が水転化性アルキド樹脂、水転化性ポリエステル、 水転化性ポリオレフィン、水転化性変性油及び水転化性エポキシエステルのうち の1種またはそれ以上である請求項1記載のインキ組成物。 11.前記水転化性樹脂が少なくとも1種の水転化性アルキド樹脂を含む請 求項10記載のインキ組成物。 12.前記樹脂成分が水不溶性である第1樹脂成分と、前記第1樹脂成分と 相容性であり、前記水転化性樹脂を含む第2樹脂成分とを含む請求項1記載のイ ンキ組成物。 13.前記水転化性樹脂が実質的に中和されていない請求項1記載のインキ 組成物。 14.油性インキ組成物であり、前記樹脂成分と相容性である油成分を含む 請求項1記載のインキ組成物。 15.前記水転化性樹脂がアルキド樹脂または油変性樹脂であり、前記水転 化性樹脂が少なくとも約5重量%の量で存在する請求項1記載のインキ組成物。 16.放射線硬化性インキ組成物であり、前記樹脂成分が1種またはそれ以 上の重合性プレポリマーを含み、前記水転化性樹脂が前記プレポリマーと相容性 である請求項1記載のインキ組成物。 17.前記プレポリマーが1種またはそれ以上のオリゴマー及びモノマーを 含む請求項16記載のインキ組成物。 18.樹脂成分と、前記樹脂成分と相容性である油成分とを含む、平版印刷 方式に用いるための油性組成物であって、前記樹脂成分が水転化性樹脂を含み、 前記水転化性樹脂の水溶性がpH依存性であり、前記水転化性樹脂が前記組成物 を特定の酸性pHレベルにおいては一般的に水不溶性であるようにさせ、かつ特 定のアルカリ性pHレベルにおいては一般的に水可洗性であるようにさせるため に充分な量で存在する前記組成物。 19.前記油成分と樹脂成分とを有するインキワニスを含み、前記水転化性 樹脂が前記ワニスの少なくとも約5重量%の量で存在する請求項18記載の組成 物。 20.前記水転化性樹脂が水転化性アルキド樹脂である請求項19記載の組 成物。 21.前記水転化性樹脂が約25〜200の酸価を有する請求項18記載の 組成物。 22.約25〜200の酸価を有する少なくとも1種の水転化性樹脂を含む 樹脂成分を有する平版印刷用インキワニスであって、前記水転化性樹脂が前記ワ ニスを特定の酸性pHレベルにおいては一般的に水不溶性であるように、かつ特 定のアルカリ性pHレベルにおいては一般的に水可洗性であるようにさせるため に充分な量で存在する前記インキワニス。 23.前記水転化性樹脂が少なくとも約5重量%の量で存在する請求項22 記載のインキワニス。 24.前記水転化性樹脂が水転化性アルキド樹脂である請求項22記載のイ ンキワニス。 25.放射線硬化性インキ組成物のための実質的に水不溶性のビヒクルであ って、ある一定の酸性pHレベルにおいては水不溶性であり、かつある一定のア ルカリ性pHレベルにおいては水可洗性である、実質的に中和されていない水転 化性樹脂を含み、前記水転化性樹脂が前記ビヒクルを前記アルカリ性pHレベル において水可洗性であるようにさせるために充分な量で存在する前記ビヒクル。 26.1種またはそれ以上の重合性プレポリマーを含み、前記水転化性樹脂 が前記酸性レベルにおいて前記プレポリマーと相容性である請求項25記載のビ ヒクル。 27.少なくとも5重量%の中和されていない酸官能性水転化性樹脂を含む 、油性インキ組成物のためのワニス。 28.少なくとも1重量%の脂肪酸を含む請求項27記載のワニス。 29.少なくとも5重量%の脂肪酸を含む請求項27記載のワニス。 30.前記脂肪酸がオレイン酸である請求項28記載のワニス。 31.揮発性の石油系溶剤を実質的に含まない請求項27記載のワニス。 32.少なくとも5重量%の硬質樹脂を含む請求項27記載のワニス。 33.前記硬質樹脂が少なくとも15の酸価を有する請求項32記載のワニ ス。 34.油又は希釈剤成分と相容性の樹脂成分とを一緒にする工程を含む、実 質的に水不溶性のインキ組成物の製造方法であって、前記樹脂成分が水転化性樹 脂を含む溶解性制御部分を含み、前記水転化性樹脂が一般に、第1の酸性pHに おいては水不溶性であり、第2のアルカリ性pHにおいては水可洗性である前記 方法。 35.前記水転化性樹脂が少なくとも約5重量%の量で存在する請求項34 記載の方法。 36.前記水転化性樹脂が水転化性アルキド樹脂である請求項35記載の方 法。 37.前記インキ組成物が平版印刷用インキ組成物であり、前記水転化性樹 脂が約25〜約200の酸価を有する請求項34記載の方法。 38.実質的に水不溶性であるインキ組成物を印刷装置に塗布する工程であ って、前記インキ組成物が酸性条件では実質的に水不溶性であり、アルカリ性条 件では水可洗性である前記工程; 前記インキ組成物を受容基体に転写する工程;及び 前記印刷装置をアルカリ性洗浄溶液で洗浄する工程 を含む印刷方法。 39.版面を含む平版印刷装置に油性成分と水性成分とを塗布する工程であ って、前記版面が前記油性成分と前記水性成分とをそれぞれ受容するための親油 性領域と疎油性領域とを有し、前記油性成分と前記水性成分の一方がインキ組成 物であり、他方がファウンテン溶液であり、前記油性成分が一般に第1のpHレ ベルにおいて水不溶性であり、第2のアルカリ性pHレベルにおいて水可洗性で あり、前記水性成分が前記第1のpHレベルに相当するpHを有する前記工程; 前記インキ組成物を受容媒体に転写する工程;及び前記印刷装置の少なくとも 一部を前記第2のpHレベルに相当するpHを有する洗浄水溶液で洗浄する工程 を含む平版印刷方法。 40.前記水転化性樹脂が少なくとも約5重量%の量で存在する請求項39 記載の方法。 41.前記水転化性樹脂が水転化性アルキド樹脂である請求項40記載の方 法。 42.前記インキ組成物が平版インキ組成物であり、前記水転化性樹脂が約 25〜200の酸価を有する請求項39記載の方法。 43.実質的に水不溶性であるインキ組成物を印刷装置に塗布する工程であ っ て、前記インキ組成物が酸性条件では実質的に水不溶性であり、アルカリ性条件 では水可洗性である前記工程; 前記インキ組成物を受容基体に転写する工程;及び 前記印刷装置をアルカリ性洗浄溶液で洗浄する工程 を含む印刷方法。 44.版面を含む平版印刷装置に油性成分と水性成分とを塗布する工程であ って、前記版面が前記油性成分と前記水性成分とをそれぞれ受容するための親油 性領域と疎油性領域とを有し、前記油性成分と前記水性成分の一方がインキ組成 物であり、他方がファウンテン溶液であり、前記油性成分が一般に第1のpHレ ベルにおいて水不溶性であり、第2のアルカリ性pHレベルにおいて水可洗性で あり、前記水性成分が前記第1のpHレベルに相当するpHを有する前記工程; 前記インキ組成物を受容媒体に転写する工程;及び 前記印刷装置の少なくとも一部を前記第2のpHレベルに相当するpHを有する 洗浄水溶液で洗浄する工程 を含む平版印刷方法。 45.前記第1のpHレベルが酸性であり、前記第2のpHレベルが少なく とも約8.5である請求項44記載の方法。 46.前記油性成分が前記インキ組成物である請求項44記載の方法。 47.前記受容媒体がオフセットブランケットシリンダーである請求項4記 載の方法。 48.前記ブランケットシリンダーを前記洗浄水溶液で洗浄することを含む 請求項47記載の方法。 49.特定の第1のpHレベルにおいて水不溶性であり、特定の第2のアル カリ性pHレベルにおいて水可洗性であるインキ成分の、油性又は水不溶性成分 残渣から成る前記インキ成分の残渣を、印刷工程で用いた装置から回収する方法 であって、 前記第2のpHレベルに相当するpHを有する洗浄水溶液を用いて前記装置の 一部から前記インキ成分残渣を除去することにより、残渣と洗浄溶液との混合物 を形成する工程; 前記混合物のpHを前記第1のpHレベルに相当するpHに変える工程;及び 前記混合物から前記インキ成分残渣を取り出す工程を含む前記方法。 50.前記インキ成分が平版印刷用インキ組成物である請求項49記載の方 法。 51.前記第1のpHレベルが酸性であり、前記第2のpHレベルが少なく とも約8.5である請求項50記載の方法。 52.前記洗浄水溶液に浸したタオルを用いて前記インキ残渣を除去し、前 記混合物のpHを前記第1のpHレベルに相当するpHに変えることによって前 記タオルを洗浄し、前記インキ残渣を取り出す工程を含む請求項49記載の方法 。 53.混合物を取り出した後の溶液のpHをアルカリ性レベルに調節して、 洗浄溶液として再使用することを含む請求項49記載の方法。
