Description of the Related Art In a conventional air conditioner, as shown in FIG. 4, for example, a heat exchanger 3 and A cross flow fan 4 is provided, and the air that has undergone heat exchange in the heat exchanger 3 is sent to the outlet 5 by the cross flow fan 4, and a vertical wind direction plate 6 rotatably supported by the outlet 5 is provided.
It was configured to deflect the wind direction in the vertical direction. With the above configuration, during the heating operation, by rotating the vertical airflow direction plate 6 so that the air outlet 5 is formed downward, the warm air is delivered toward the feet of the room. Since the specific gravity is small, there is a problem that it goes up and it is difficult to reach the floor. As a measure for that, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-196013,
By forming an auxiliary air passage along the back surface and the upper surface of the main body 1 and interposing an auxiliary fan provided with a drive device in the auxiliary air passage, the auxiliary air along the upper surface of the main body 1 during heating operation. The auxiliary fan blows cold air from the passage to suppress the warm air downward so that the warm air can reach the floor surface sufficiently for air conditioning. However, in the above configuration, it is necessary to form the auxiliary air passage in the main body 1 and to interpose the auxiliary fan provided with the drive device in the auxiliary air passage. Therefore, the structure is complicated and the cost is disadvantageous. Had the problem of becoming.

Reference numeral 1 is an indoor unit body of an air conditioner, 2 is a suction port provided on a front cover removably attached to the body 1 and an upper surface of the body 1, and 3 is a suction port provided in the body 1. Mouth 2
Reference numeral 4 denotes a heat exchanger for exchanging heat with the air sucked in from, which is a cross-flow fan provided in the air passage for sending out the heat-exchanged air to the blow-out port described later. 4a is a centrifugal fan continuously attached to one side of the cross flow fan 4,
The centrifugal fan 4a is attached to the outside of the heat exchanger 3,
Air is sucked from a second suction port, which will be described later, provided on the opposite side surface of the heat exchanger 3. The centrifugal fan 4a sucks air from a second suction port, which will be described later, provided on the side surface on the opposite side of the heat exchanger 3, so that the air is sucked from the suction port 2 during the heating operation to generate heat in the heat exchanger 3. By blowing out the non-exchanged air to the second blow-out port described later, it is possible to suppress the warm air blown toward the room from the blow-out port described later to reach the floor surface sufficiently. Reference numeral 4b is a bearing portion that supports one side of a common support shaft of the centrifugal fan 4a and the cross flow fan 4. Reference numeral 5 is an air outlet for blowing air toward the room, 6 is a vertical airflow direction plate rotatably supported on both side walls of the airflow outlet 5, and 7 is the vertical airflow direction linked to the vertical airflow direction plate 6. It is a motor for driving the plate 6. 8 is the centrifugal fan
In the fan casing attached to 4a, during the heating operation, by introducing the air that has been sucked from the suction port 2 by the fan casing 8 and has not undergone heat exchange in the heat exchanger 3 to the second blow-out port described later, As described above, the hot air sent from the air outlet 5 toward the room is suppressed downward so that it can reach the floor surface sufficiently. 8a is a second suction port provided on the side surface of the fan casing 8,
The second suction port 8a is provided on the opposite side surface of the heat exchanger 3. The second suction port 8a is shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 3 (B), by being provided on the side surface of the fan casing 8, the air sucked from the suction port 2 and not heat-exchanged by the heat exchanger 3 is sucked, and the second It is configured to lead to the air outlet. 8b
Is a second outlet provided in the fan casing 8,
As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 (B), the second outlet port 8b is formed so as to face the outlet port 5 and has substantially the same width dimension as the outlet port 5, Since it is provided between the upper edge of the outlet 5 and the vertical wind direction plate 6, during heating operation,
By blowing out the air that has been sucked from the suction port 2 and has not been heat-exchanged by the heat exchanger 3, the blow-out port 5
It is configured so that the warm air sent from the room to the room can be effectively suppressed downward and reach the floor surface. Further, since the second outlet 8b is formed to have substantially the same width as the width of the outlet 5, as described above, the hot air delivered from the outlet 5 is effectively suppressed downward. In addition to the above, the outer appearance of the air outlet 5 is not impaired.

To the air outlet 5, and the vertical airflow direction plate 6 provided in the air outlet 5 deflects the wind direction downward to blow air into the room, while sucking from the air inlet 2 to exchange heat with the heat exchanger 3. The air that has not been blown is sucked from the second suction port 8a by the centrifugal fan 4a and blown out from the second outlet port 8b to suppress the warm air blown out from the outlet port 5 to reach the floor surface sufficiently. It becomes an air conditioner that can. In the above configuration, during the cooling operation, the air sucked from the suction port 2 and heat-exchanged by the heat exchanger 3 is sent to the blow-out port 5 by the cross-flow fan 4 and provided in the blow-out port 5. The vertical wind direction plate 6 deflects the wind direction horizontally to blow the air into the room, while the air sucked from the suction port 2 and not heat-exchanged by the heat exchanger 3 is sucked by the second centrifugal fan 4a. The structure is such that it sucks in from the mouth 8a and blows out from the second outlet 8b, and the cold air blown out from the outlet 5 can reach the entire room without being affected by the wind blown out from the second outlet 8b. It becomes a possible air conditioner.
