Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a bathtub which prohibits the adhesion of dirt, such as fur, eliminates the need for cleaning at every bathing and contributes to diversified designing of a bathroom by forming a fluororesin layer on the surface of a bathtub-forming resin blank and forming the bathtub by a vacuum forming method using this bathtub-forming resin blank. CONSTITUTION: The heated bathtub-forming resin blank 1 is placed on a metal die 7 and is fixed by means of clamps 8. This metal die 7 is then evacuated to a vacuum from its inside by an evacuation line 9, by which the blank 1 is brought into tight contact with the inside of the metal die 7 as shown by a chain line (a). The formed bathtub is taken out after cooling, by which the bathtub having a prescribed shape is formed. The fluororesin layer 3 of a film or sheet form is used. A plastic film having excellent printing characteristics is used as a printing layer 4. A gravure or flexographic printing method, etc., are used as the printing method. This printed film is adhered to a fluororesin film or sheet and is adhered to, for example, an acrylic resin 2 as the bathtub- forming resin blank.

However, the above-mentioned conventional bathtub has the following drawbacks. a. It is easy for dirt such as scale to adhere. b. The dirt that has once adhered is hardened when the water evaporates, and it takes a lot of time to remove it. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the dirt every time when bathing. c. Even if cleaning is performed every time, a black discoloration occurs on the draft part due to dirt. d. The traditional bathtub has a single color, so the bathroom design is monotonous. e. When the stain is removed by using a chemical detergent or the like, the surface of the bathtub is damaged, which makes it more likely to be contaminated, and there is a problem of wastewater contamination due to the use of the chemical detergent.

EXAMPLE FIG. 1 is a sectional view showing a part of a bath molding resin material 1 before being molded as a bath, in which 2 is an acrylic resin layer, 3 is a transparent or semitransparent fluororesin layer, and 4 is a printing layer. ,
Reference numerals 5 and 6 are adhesive material layers. FIG. 2 is an explanatory view of the bath forming method, in which the heated bath forming resin material 1 is placed on the die 7 and fixed by the clamp 8, and the inside of the die 7 is evacuated by the evacuation line 9. The material 1 is the one-dot chain line a
As shown in (1), the bath is formed into a predetermined shape by being brought into close contact with the inside of the mold 7 and then taken out after cooling. The fluororesin layer 3 is a film or sheet, and the printing layer 4 is a plastic film having excellent printing characteristics. As a printing method, a gravure or flexographic printing method or the like is used, and the printed film is adhered to a fluororesin film or sheet, and this is adhered to, for example, an acrylic resin 2 as a bath molding resin material. FIG. 3 is a partial sectional view of the bathtub. In this sectional view, the fluororesin layer 3 is formed only inside the bath, but the fluororesin layer 3 and the printing layer 4 may be formed outside the bath. In this case, the fluororesin layer 3 shown in FIG. 1 is formed on both sides of the acrylic resin layer 2.

The effects of the present invention are as follows. a. By forming the fluororesin layer on the inner surface (and outer surface) of the bathtub, dirt does not adhere due to the water-repellent property of the fluororesin. Moreover, even if it adheres, it can be washed off by simply applying water. b. Unlike the conventional case, it is not necessary to clean the bathtub every time a bath is taken, which is particularly effective for the elderly and the like. c. Since the bathtub is printed, there are changes compared to the conventional one-color bathtub, and a variety of bathroom designs are possible. d. Since no chemical detergent is required, the problem of wastewater pollution can be prevented. e. By forming the bath using the vacuum forming method, there is no fear of damaging the fluororesin layer during forming.
