[Prior Art] It has been a long time since the crown ether was developed. This crown ether forms a complex with various inorganic and organic ions in water, and the stability of this crown ether complex depends on the size of the internal pores of the crown ether itself as a host and the size of the cation that is a guest. It is already well known that it is greatly influenced by and.

The former is a crown ether and one polyvalent element of the third main group, the fifth main group or the second subgroup of the periodic table as the central atom and the number of atoms of the element of the seventh main group as the ligand or phenyl. Group or an inorganic complex acid consisting of several cyano groups, or an addition compound with a salt thereof, specifically, a chloroantimonate adduct is made in a polar solvent, and an aqueous solution containing cesium ions is contacted with this to extract cesium ions. -There is no choice but to use dichlorobenzol, but most of these have a low boiling point, are only slightly soluble in water, are toxic, have anesthetic properties, and are dangerous to handle in large quantities, and the addition of chloroantimonate The concentration of the substance is 0.036 mol / l, which is extremely low, and it is unavoidable that it is not industrially practical. Further, the latter is one of ethylene chloride, 1,2-dichloroethane, chloroform, chlorobenzene, benzene, toluene and tetrachloromethane as a diluent, an organic solution consisting of a crown ether, an alkali metal and a meta anion as a counter anion. The alkali metal is extracted by contacting with an aqueous solution containing any one of nil yellow, methyl orange and picric acid.

However, in this method, most of the complexes of the counter anion, metal ion and crown ether are hardly soluble in water and diluent, and when the metal ion concentration exceeds 0.01 mol / l, the salt precipitates as crystals. Therefore, it can only be handled at extremely low concentrations. In addition, the complex has high stability and cannot decompose the crown ether complex in the organic phase to completely back-extract the metal ions into the aqueous phase. Will be difficult. Furthermore, there is a problem that the diluent and counter anion used are dissolved in water, and the load of wastewater treatment is unavoidably increased in industrial use, which means that it has no industrial practicality.

"Means for Solving the Problem" That is, the present invention is a desired metal ion by contacting an aqueous solution containing one or more of a rare earth ion, a cesium ion, and a rubidium ion as a metal ion, and an organic solution containing a crown ether. In the method for extracting bisphenol, 18-crown 6 and / or dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 is used as a crown ether, a carboxylate anion containing halogen is used as a counter anion, and an organic compound containing bromine or iodine is used as a diluent. It is a solvent extraction method using a crown ether, which is characterized by using one or more of trichloroacetate anion, tribromoacetate anion, triiodoacetate anion as a counter anion, bromoform or carbon tetrabromide as a diluent. With bromoform solution That.

Crown ether is a neutral extractant and is electrically neutral.
When only the metal ions in the solution are extracted by the crown ether, the whole is positively charged and becomes extremely electrically unstable. Therefore, in a neutral extractant such as crown ether, the extracted metal ion that is a cation and a counter anion that is sufficient to neutralize the charge are extracted as one set into the crown ether to maintain a stable state. Counter anions are used to perform such a function.

In order to stabilize the crown ether complex, as a counter anion, structural bulkiness commensurate with the extracted metal ion, strong affinity with the extracted metal ion, and large polarization so that the anion state is maintained even at low pH. However, it is required that hydrogen ions are easily released in an aqueous solution. Further, it is industrially required that the back extraction from the organic phase is easy. For this purpose, it is also necessary that the crown ether complex consisting of crown ether, extracted metal ion and counter anion is not too stable in the organic phase.

As the diluent, it is necessary to use one that can maintain the concentration of the produced crown ether complex above a certain level. This is satisfied with the use of alkyl halides, but for industrial use it has low toxicity, non-volatility,
It is also required to be sparingly water-soluble and chemically stable. In order to meet such requirements, it is necessary to use bromoform or a bromoform solution of carbon tetrabromide.

In addition, the reason why the solubility of the crown ether complex is increased when the heavy alkyl halide is used as the diluent is considered to be that the structure of the diluent approaches the halogenated carboxylic acid.

3+ and Pr3 + were extracted into the organic phase to obtain extracted organic matter and a raffinate. Next, the organic phase and the same amount of pure water as this are placed in another separating funnel with a stopper and shaken for 10 minutes to back-extract each metal component into the aqueous phase, and the reverse extraction organic matter and the reverse extraction solution are separated. The 3+ and Pr 3+ concentrations were analyzed and obtained, and the recovery rate was calculated from the analytical values of the reverse extraction solution and the original solution. The results are shown in Table 1.

From Table 1, La in the conventional picric acid-chloroform system is La.
3+ is only slightly extracted, and the extracted La
3+ forms a stable salt in the organic phase, only 5.4% can be back-extracted with pure water, and the recovery rate is only 2.1%. This clearly shows that the conventional method is not industrially practical.

An aqueous solution of pH 3.06 containing at a ratio of 1 and 0.1-M / l of 18-C-6
Chloroform solution containing it in the ratio of O / A = 1/1 is put into a separatory funnel with a stopper, 30 ml each, and shaken for 10 minutes,
Then, the mixture is allowed to stand to separate the organic phase from the aqueous phase and La 3+ , Ce 3+ ,
Pr 3+ was extracted into an organic phase to obtain an extracted organic matter and a raffinate. The concentrations of La 3+ , Ce 3+ and Pr 3+ in each liquid were analyzed and determined, and the distribution ratio and the separation coefficient were obtained. As a result, the distribution ratios of La 3+ , Ce 3+ , and Pr 3+ are 1.34, 0.40, and 0.09, respectively, and the separation factors of La / Ce and La / Pr are 3.4 and 14, respectively, which is the highest separation coefficient than before. 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid-
Separation factors of more than double were obtained when 2-ethylhexyl was used as the extractant. Then, the La concentration was set to 1 M / l, and 18
When the same operation was performed with Crown-6 at 1 M / l, a crown ether complex was precipitated and a sufficient extraction operation could not be performed.

Therefore, it can be seen that the use of chloroform can obviously improve the distribution ratio and the separation coefficient, although it is not always sufficient when the metal ion concentration becomes high.

An aqueous solution containing O / l and a bromoform solution containing 18-C-6 and CBr 4 at 0.1 M / l and 500 g / l, respectively, were added to O / O.

[Effects of the Invention] According to the method of the present invention, rare earth ions, cesium ions, and rubidium ions can be selectively separated by using crown ethers, and further, the diluent and counter anion used have low toxicity and low toxicity. Since it is volatile and sparingly water-soluble, and safe and easy to handle, its industrial significance is great.
