Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high coefficient of correlation between the negative and positive value of the differences between the radii of the inner peripheral surface of a crown measured with sensors and the reference radii corresponding to the respective positions of the sensors of the inner peripheral surface of the crown and the RRO of a tire after vulcanizing method by a method wherein analyzers, which output at the specified positions of the inner peripheral surface of the crown. CONSTITUTION:Respective sensors 3-1 and 3-2 simultaneously scan a plurality of widthwise spots on a crown surface 1-3c such as the central peripheral line position of the crown and at least one spot between the desired positions on both the sides of the central peripheral line position of the crown, or positions at both the sides of the central peripheral line position of the crown excluding the central peripheral line position following the rotation of a rotor 2. The respective sensors output analogue electric signals, which are amplified and, at the same time, converted into digital signals so as to be inputted in analyzers 14 and 15 in order to take negative/positive values of the differences between the inputted digital signals and the preset reference radii at the specified positions of the inner peripheral surface of the crown out of the analyzers 14 and 15.

Among the characteristics relating to the uniform quality, the characteristic called radial force variation (RFV) is particularly the characteristics such as vibration riding comfort of radial tires, high speed steering stability, uneven wear resistance of tread, and tread portion. It is well known that the above-mentioned performance and durability tend to deteriorate more and more as the value of RFV increases, which significantly affects durability such as high-speed durability.

Therefore, among many proposals for improving the value of RFV to be as small as possible throughout the entire manufacturing process of the radial tire, the mold used in the final vulcanization molding process is the two split mold so far. It is particularly effective because it is effective to replace the split mold with a mold.
A so-called split mold is generally applied to a mold for vulcanization molding of a radial tire that requires V level.

The split mold is shown in FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (b).
As shown in a simplified diagram of its cross section, an upper side mold 1-1 and a lower side mold 1-2,
It is composed of a plurality of segment molds 1-3 that are divided in the radial direction of the mold, and each of these molds is housed inside a container C attached to the upper part of the tire press at the operating position (FIG. 2 (a)). The tire T is vulcanized and molded. At that time, the segment molds 1-3 at the non-operating position of the tire press (FIG. 2 (b)) are respectively moving outward in the radial direction,
As the upper part of the tire press moves from the non-working position to the working position, each segment mold 1-3 moves inward and takes a posture of vulcanization molding. The upper side mold 1-1 is attached and fixed to the top plate TP, and the lower side mold 1-2 is attached to the bottom plate although not shown. In the figure, B is a bladder for vulcanization molding of the tire T, and E is a mold axis.

As is clear from this example, the waveforms of both are very similar, and the correlation coefficient r also shows a high value of 0.85. The RFV value is calculated peak-to-peak, where CL is the crown center line, R is also the peak-to-peak width value (Range), AV
E represents the level of the average value.

Further, the result of separating the RRO waveform into two split mold factors and other factors is shown in FIG. 3 (c) for the former and FIG. 3 (d) for the latter. As is clear from these figures, the contribution rate of the mold factor to the RRO value of the radial tire is almost the same as the contribution rate of other factors, so it is understood that sufficient consideration for the RRO of the split mold is essential. . In addition, among the other factors described in FIG.
I represents so-called post cure inflation performed immediately after vulcanization.

Although RRO in L) is shown, the same tendency is shown in both regions of the central circumference line.

Therefore, the base plate (container) 1 will be described with reference to the schematic sectional view shown in FIG.
The guide ring 102 is fitted on the outer peripheral side of the segment mold 103 which is divided into a large number (for example, nine pieces) so that the split mold just shows the operating state on 01, and the fixing ring 104 is inserted inside the temporarily assembled segment mold 103. Attach the rotating ring 105, dial gauge 108
Using a segment mold inner circumference unevenness measuring device in which a magnet stand 106 having a support rod 107 for supporting the same is fixed to a rotating ring 105, a dial gauge 108 is dialed with the tip end portion thereof being pressed against the inner surface of the crown of the segment mold. The gauge 108 is manually rotated once (in the case of such a contact type, it is necessary to manually rely on the convex ribs provided on the crown surface or a large number of thin plate projecting members), and the electric output between them is dialed. It is amplified by the dial gauge amplifier 110 via the gauge cable 109, and the output thereof is input to the digital recorder 112 via the recorder cable 111, so that the unevenness amount of the crown inner circumference is determined by the RR of the crown inner circumference of the split mold.
The method of taking out as O is used.

However, when the RRO of the inner circumference of the split mold crown and the RRO of the tire measured by the above apparatus were compared with respect to the center line of the crown, as shown in FIG. 5 (a), the two waveforms were significantly different. As a result, the correlation coefficient r is as small as 0.22, and even if the primary components of these waveforms are extracted and compared, the mutual peak deviation of the sinusoidal primary component curves is remarkable as shown in FIG. Therefore, the correlation coefficient r was further reduced to 0.03, which proved that the measurement by the above-mentioned device was not suitable for practical use.

The above tendency does not stop at the center line of the crown,
The same tendency is exhibited on the peripheral line passing through each point extending from the peripheral line toward the shoulder portion, and even if the condition of PCI applied to the tire immediately after vulcanization is changed, the same incompatibility as described above remains unchanged. I found out that. Therefore, as long as the measuring device of the above-mentioned type is used, the RRO measurement of the inner circumference of the split mold crown is practically meaningless, and the RFV of the tire is originally used.
However, there was a serious problem that the effective use of the split mold, which should be advantageous, is hindered.

[Function] First, the inside of the split mold in the operating position of the tire press equipped with the split mold is under the same tightening and pressure as when vulcanizing an unvulcanized tire, and therefore the entire surface inside the split mold is vulcanized. Completely coincides with the outer contour of the tire at the time of molding completion, and as a result, the crown inner peripheral irregularities of the split mold at the operating position,
At least the unevenness on the crown peripheral line of the product tire before filling with the internal pressure has a strong tendency to be close to the unevenness as well as the tendency. In particular, when the tire to be vulcanized and molded is a radial tire with a belt layer made of steel cord, there is a marked similarity in mutual crown shape between the completion of vulcanization molding in the mold and the internal pressure filling of the product tire. Since it is expensive, the measurement result of the inner circumference of the split mold at the operating position of the tire press is highly reliable.

Inside the split mold in the above-mentioned operating position, an electric rotating body having the axis of the crown surface as the axis of rotation is attached, and the rotating body is separated from the mold crown surface in the direction of the axis of rotation. By providing two or more non-contact type sensors for distance detection, which are mounted on the outer side of the rotating body at directly facing positions, the tip of the sensor can be rotated while the rotating body makes one revolution based on a drive signal from the outside of the tire press. It is possible to simultaneously detect the distance between the portion and the central peripheral line of the crown surface or at least one of the vicinity thereof and the positions on both sides thereof, for example, the peripheral line near the position called a quarter point on the tire. At that time, it is convenient to attach a mark as a measurement start point, that is, a measurement end point to the crown surface. Further, a controller capable of controlling the rotational displacement amount of the rotating body is a servo motor of the rotating body, more preferably a DD motor. By connecting to the above, it is possible to correspond the above measured distance to the amount of rotational displacement,
Furthermore, the amount of rotational displacement from the measurement start point to the measurement end point (one round of the crown circumference line) is (1/1000)
As a result of being able to control with an accuracy of ° (degrees), it contributes to specify the uneven position after the measurement with high accuracy.

It is assumed that each sensor outputs an analog electric signal corresponding to the detected distance, and the output signal is amplified, and an analog signal is converted to an analog signal by an A / D converter which converts the analog signal into a digital signal. By inputting the reference radius value of the corresponding inner circumference of the crown to the stored analyzer, the analyzer sets the difference between the input signal and the reference radius as a positive or negative value and at least one of the analog value and the digital value. As the value is output while the inner peripheral position of the crown is being specified, as a result, an accurate RRO value of the measured split mold can be advantageously obtained. In this case, it is convenient to use the analog waveform analyzer as a diagram for the analog signal and the digital waveform analyzer as a digital signal for numerical display.

If the rotating body is attached to an adapter ring that fits closely with the concave portion of the split mold close to the axial center of the lower side mold, the rotational axis of the rotating body and the axial center of the crown surface can be easily and securely attached. It contributes to the concentricity and there is no vibration of the eccentricity, which enables each sensor to scan the crown surface with high accuracy.

Further, by making each sensor a laser type sensor capable of outputting the detected distance as an analog electric signal, it is possible to carry out small-sized and highly accurate detection, and also to amplify the analog signal output from this sensor, By using an amplifier that performs digital conversion by using the analog input signal and inputting the output from the amplifier to the analog waveform analyzer and the digital waveform analyzer, it is possible to directly obtain the above-mentioned RRO diagram and numerical value. Regarding the RRO diagram, in addition to the measured direct waveform, a sine wave extracted as a primary component from this direct waveform can be obtained, and by looking at these two waveforms together, a more accurate RRO waveform can be seen. Will also be possible.

According to the present invention, the unevenness amount of the crown inner circumference at the desired cross-section position of the split mold (segment mold) is specified at the circumferential position, and it is extremely high with the RRO of the product tire. It is possible to grasp under the correlation coefficient, whereby the RFV of the product tire that has been vulcanized and molded using the split mold can be roughly estimated, and therefore, the estimated RFV value is within a predetermined upper limit value. Appropriate corrections can be made to split molds that have more happiness before they are put into actual use, and as a result, almost all RFVs of product tires after vulcanization molding meet the standard values. It is possible to omit the RFV correction process that was carried out for product tires exceeding the upper limit value, which contributes to a significant improvement in productivity in the tire finishing process, and further vulcanization is performed. It means that take advantage of various RFV improvement measures applied before fully achieve the Chodai effect that can realize a radial tire provided with a more excellent RFV performance.

8. Inside the split mold in an operating position of a tire press equipped with a split mold for tire vulcanization molding, two or more pieces are provided at a position facing each other with a distance from each other in the axial direction of the crown surface. An electric rotating body equipped with a non-contact type sensor for distance detection on the outside was mounted and housed with the axis of the crown surface as the axis of rotation, and the rotating body was connected and fixed to the servo motor occupying the central part and its rotating part. Electric power is supplied to the motor that constitutes the outer cylinder to rotationally drive each of the above sensors, and the distance between the crown surface and the sensor is output as an analog electric signal from each sensor over the entire inner circumference of the crown. By amplifying the signal and digitally converting it, and then inputting it to the analyzer, the positive / negative value of the difference from the preset reference radius can be reduced from the analog value and the digital value. As one value Kutomo, crown the peripheral corrugated method of measuring tire vulcanization for split mold, characterized in that removal from the analyzer particular under the crown inner position.
