When the above-mentioned type of connector is used as a connector for a device that generally requires a large current, it should be noted that heat generation and arc generation are prevented. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the electric resistance of the contact portion between them, and for that purpose, it is important to avoid the contact portion between the members having different conductivity as much as possible. This is due to the fact that current, which is a general characteristic of electricity, flows from a high resistance part, that is, a low conductivity part to a low resistance part, that is, a high conductivity part. If a member with high conductivity and a member with low conductivity are contacted and a large current is to flow, the current will not flow to the member with low conductivity, but the member with low conductivity, that is, resistance If it is attempted to flow through a member having a high temperature, the member will generate heat and it is extremely dangerous.

However, in general, due to manufacturing problems, the female connector, which is one of the elements, is manufactured from a zinc soft iron plate or a brass plate having good workability, and the electric contact, which is the other element, is a phosphor bronze plate or a brass plate. It is manufactured from a material with poor workability such as a copper plate. Incidentally, considering the fact that the former is inferior in conductivity to the latter, a large electric resistance is obviously generated between both members, and the above-mentioned problem occurs.

As is apparent from FIG. 2, the elastic contactor 1
1 has a rectangular shape at the manufacturing stage, and in the band-shaped range in the central portion in the length direction thereof, a large number of slits 1 arranged at equal intervals in the lateral direction for ensuring elasticity of the reduced diameter portion 16.
5 is drilled. When manufacturing the elastic contact member 5, the elastic contact 11, the caulking piece 9 and the conducting portion 10 for electrically connecting them are punched out from a single hard metal plate having good conductivity as shown in the figure. It may be manufactured by pressing one by one, but in the case of mass production,
The best method is to manufacture the illustrated material in advance in the lengthwise direction (left and right in the drawing) in advance and cut between adjacent slits of a predetermined length to form one member. At the time of finishing, it is preferable that both ends are formed into an annular shape by spot welding or brazing, and then the central portion in the axial direction is drawn from the outside by a mandrel or the like to form the reduced diameter portion 16. Further, the slit 15 does not necessarily have to be perpendicular to the length direction, and even if it is slightly inclined, it is sufficient that a sufficient elastic action is exhibited, and there is no problem such as abrasion when the male connector 1 is fitted. For example, it suffices if it is oriented substantially in the axial direction in the completed state.

Further, although the crimping piece 9 is a strip-shaped flat plate in the illustrated case, when it is applied to a position along the side surface of the conductor crimping portion, it is preferably curved along the axial direction. It is more preferable, and when the caulking portion is tubular, rather preferable results are obtained.

As described above, in the electrical connection terminal according to the present invention, the female terminal is made of a material having a normal conductivity and the elastic connector is made of a good conductive material. Most of them flow to the male contactor through the elastic contactor member and do not flow to other parts. Therefore, the female terminal has very low conductivity or insulating synthetic resin material with excellent moldability. It is also possible to easily integrally form such materials as described above, and the risk of heat generation due to contact resistance and concentrated resistance due to the use of two members having different electrical conductivity and the elimination of these contact parts as much as possible. Are completely avoided and a huge increase in productivity is obtained.

The electric current from the conductor or from the male terminal is caulked and connected directly to the caulking piece integrally formed with the elastic contact member at the caulking portion of the conductor and the caulking connection. Since there is no point contact between the terminals and the elastic contact member is integrally made of a good conductive material, almost no current flows in the female terminal made of a normal conductive material, which is excellent. It is possible to obtain conductivity.

On the other hand, in the female terminal 3, the elastic contact 5 is housed along the axis A in a substantially middle portion of the through hole 4 such that the elastic contact 5 can move slightly in the axial direction. The elastic contact member 5 is made of a good conductive hard metal such as phosphor bronze, which has poor machinability but low electric resistance, and is an annular elastic contact capable of contacting the outer peripheral surface of the male contact 1. 11 and a caulking piece 9 are integrally formed, and the elastic contactor 11 and the caulking piece 9 are thin strip-shaped conducting portions 10 extending from the elastic contactor 11 in the axial direction.
Are electrically connected to each other, and the central portion in the axial direction of the elastic contactor 11 has a reduced diameter portion 16 directed radially inward and has elasticity radially outward.

As apparent in FIG. 2, the elastic contact piece 11 is rectangular in the manufacturing stage, the band range in the length direction central portion laterally to ensure the elasticity of the reduced diameter portion 16 equal A large number of slits 15 arranged at intervals are provided. When manufacturing the elastic contact member 5, the elastic contact 11, the caulking piece 9 and the conducting portion 10 for electrically connecting them are punched out from a single hard metal plate having good conductivity as shown in the figure. Although it may be manufactured by a single press, in the case of mass production, the illustrated one is continuously manufactured in advance in the length direction (left and right in the figure) and is adjacent for a predetermined length. The most suitable method is to cut the slits into one member. In addition,
At the time of finishing, it is preferable that both ends are formed into an annular shape by spot welding or brazing, and then the central portion in the axial direction is drawn from the outside by a mandrel or the like to form the reduced diameter portion 16.
