According to the punching and cutting method and the die of the present invention, as punches, there are punching blade portions formed to have a high protruding height and stepping blade portions formed to have a low protruding height. Using a die that has punching through holes and cutting recesses into which the punching and cutting blades of the punch enter, so that the punching is performed continuously with each punching operation. However, the cut piece is cut during the punching operation. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the occurrence of a seam on the cut-out cutting surface, and the cut piece serving as punching scrap is cut into pieces to be smoothly discharged. In particular, since the cutting piece is cut at the step portion of the punch, reliable cutting can be performed even if there is a slight error in the height accuracy of the punch.

In the case where the cutting piece pushing mechanism is provided in the cutting recess of the die, the plate material can be fed with the cutting piece returned to the upper surface of the die. It can be fed smoothly without being caught on the inner surface of. If the length of the cutting recess of the die is made sufficiently longer than the punching through hole, the cutting can be made longer, so the cutting piece does not have a steep slope, and the seam of the punching cut surface is further improved. It is hard to occur.
