That is, the inorganic filler is an essential component for imparting the texture and texture of artificial marble to the molded product,
According to the present invention, since the unsaturated polyester resin used and the refractive index is generally 1.53 to 1.57, by selecting the refractive index of the inorganic filler in the range of 1.48 to 1.62, particularly preferably 1.52 to 1.57, It is possible to give a molded article a transparent, marble-like appearance. In combination with the inorganic filler having this refractive index, the aspect ratio of the diameter to the thickness is 10 or more, the average particle diameter is 20 μm or more, and particularly 40 to
When 800 μm of flaky glass flakes are blended, a resin matrix containing the inorganic filler is interposed between the flaky glass flakes so that the flaky glass flakes are randomly distributed and fixed in the matrix. Then, when this composition is cured, stress due to curing shrinkage of the resin is concentrated on the interface between the surface of the glass flakes having a high aspect ratio and the resin, and a kind of interfacial peeling state is exhibited. Light incident from the surface of the resin molded product is reflected at the separated interface between the scaly glass flakes and the matrix, and the reflection of this light ray is not limited to the vicinity of the surface of the molded product,
Since the cured product has high transparency, light rays are generated even at a position which is considerably deep from the surface of the molded product, so that a three-dimensional glittering glittering appearance having a depth can be obtained.

When the refractive index of the inorganic filler is larger or smaller than the range specified in the present invention, the transparency of the filler-containing resin matrix is lost, and the glittering glittering appearance is conspicuous only on the surface of the molded product. It will have a thin feel. Regarding the aspect ratio and particle size of the glass flakes, the aspect ratio is 10 or less, or the average particle size is 2
If it is less than 0 μm, the glittering glittering appearance is deteriorated.

Inorganic filler is 60 per 100 parts by weight of polyester resin
To 400 parts by weight, particularly 100 to 300 parts by weight, and when the amount is less than the above range, the texture of the artificial marble becomes poor, while when the amount is more than the above range, the moldability is deteriorated and the machine of the molded product is deteriorated. The physical strength and the like also decrease. Flake-shaped glass flake is 0.1 per 100 parts by weight of resin.
It is preferable to use it in an amount of 5 to 50 parts by weight, particularly 5 to 25 parts by weight. When it is less than the above range, it becomes difficult to obtain a desired glittering appearance. Is not effective, workability is reduced, and it is economically disadvantageous. The radical initiator is generally used in an amount of 0.3 to 4 parts by weight.

Since the molding material of the present invention can be compounded in the form of SMC (sheet molding compound) or BMC (bulk molding compound), it is possible to easily manufacture artificial marble having a bright appearance by press molding using these. It is possible. Further, when blending these molding materials, it is also possible to blend so-called low shrinkage of the thermoplastic resin to the extent that the transparency and glitter appearance of the molded article are not impaired.
