Abstract

PURPOSE:To change coating members rapidly and easily and obtain a lightweight and compact web carrier roller and the renewing method thereof. CONSTITUTION:Coating members 12A, 12B, 12C are brought into close multilayer contact with a roller core material part 14 to form a web carrier roller 10. The coating member 12A is formed of heat contractive material into hollow cylindrical shape with inner diameter D1 and thickness (t). The Coating members 12B, 12C are also formed of heat contractive material, and the inner diameters of the coating members 12B, 12C are formed to be slightly larger than the inner diameters of the coating members 12A, 12B respectively in close contact with the inside of the coating members 12B, 12C. At the time of assembling the web carrier roller 10, the roller core material part 14 is inserted into the coating member 12A of the laminated coating members 12A, 12B, 12C, and the coating members 12A, 12B, 12C are heated by a heating device to contract them by heat. The coating member 12A is thereby brought into close contact with the surface of the roller core material part 14 to assemble the web carrier roller 10.

The third rubber roller is applied to the conveyance of documents, paper, etc., and is a rubber roller having a roller core member covered with a covering member, and is orthogonal to the roller rotation direction formed on the roller core member. A rubber roller (Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 61-105348) constructed by engaging a joint portion of a covering member in the recess. The fourth rubber roller is a rubber roller for squeezing a material or the like. A rubber roller is integrally formed by fitting a roller core member into a metal cylinder having an outer peripheral surface integrally provided with a covering member (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 52-52160). However, in the first rubber roller, since the covering member is baked and lined, the covering member cannot be easily attached to and detached from the roller core member. Due to this, if the covering member deteriorates due to long-time use of the rubber roller, the maintenance work (work for maintaining the characteristics of the rubber in order to prevent the reduction of frictional force) can only be done by cleaning the outer peripheral surface of the covering member. It has a drawback that it requires a lot of troublesome work.

The second rubber roller requires replacement of the covering member when the covering member is damaged. In that case,
First, it is necessary to remove the rotary shafts at both ends of the roller core part from the shaft fixing part, then remove the entire rubber roller, remove the covering member from this rubber roller, and press a new covering member into the roller core part. Has the drawback of being extremely annoying.

In the third rubber roller, since the shape of the concave portion of the roller core material is complicated and the concave portion is formed perpendicularly to the roller rotation direction, when used for carrying the belt-shaped metal plate, the belt-shaped metal is used. There is a drawback that the frictional force between the cover member and the coating member is applied to the recess and the recess is damaged. The fourth rubber roller has a heavy metal cylinder formed integrally with the covering member,
It has the drawback of high manufacturing costs.

In the present embodiment, the roller core member 14 and the covering members 12A, 12B and 12C are prepared in advance, and the covering members 12A, 12B and 12C are heated to shrink and be integrated. However, the roller core member 14
As the covering member 12A for the conventional rubber roller, the covering member 12A is baked and lined on the roller core member 14.
When the coating material 12A deteriorates, it is possible to use the roller core material portion 14 from which a part or all of the coating material 12A is removed, insert the coating materials 12B and 12C into the roller core material portion 14 in order, and heat shrink. . That is, it is possible to repair a deteriorated conventional rubber roller.

Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. According to this, a roller core material portion 14 having an outer diameter D 2 and a plurality of stretchable covering members 20, 20, 20 having an inner diameter D 3 are prepared. In this case, the inner diameter D 3 of the covering member 20 is equal to the roller core material portion 14
The outer diameter D 2 of the above is set so that D 2 ≧ D 3 .
Next, when the covering member 20 is mounted on the roller core member 14, the covering member 20 is wound and attached to one end of the roller core member 14 as shown in FIG. Rewind in the direction of the arrow in the figure. As a result, the covering member 20 is brought into close contact with the roller core material portion 14, and the web transport roller is assembled.

When the outermost covering member 20 is damaged during use, the rotary shafts 1 on both sides of the roller core member 14 are also damaged.
With 6 and 18 fixed to the shaft fixing part of the drive part,
The covering member 20 may be cut with a cutter or the like to be removed from the roller core material portion 14, and the next covering member 20 may be exposed. Therefore, also in the web transport roller described in this embodiment, the covering member 20 can be replaced (renewed) quickly and simply as in the first embodiment.

In this embodiment as well, similar to the first embodiment described above, the roller core material portion 14 is the conventional one in which the roller core material portion 14 is coated with the covering member 20 by baking. When the covering member 20 of the rubber roller is deteriorated,
It is also possible to use the roller core material portion 14 in which a part or all of the coating member 20 is removed and to mount another coating member 20 on the roller core material portion 14. That is, it is possible to repair a deteriorated conventional rubber roller.

As described above, according to the web conveying roller and the method for updating the same according to the present invention, a plurality of covering members formed in a hollow cylindrical shape are made to closely contact the roller core portion in multiple layers. At the time of renewal, the outermost covering member was cut so that new covering members were exposed one after another. Therefore, the covering member can be replaced (renewed) without removing both rotary shafts of the roller core from the shaft fixing part. Can be performed quickly and easily. Further, since no recess is formed in the roller core material portion, damage to the roller core material portion can be prevented, and since the roller core material portion and the covering member are composed of two elements, the weight and size can be reduced.

Further, since the covering member can be cut at the site where the web conveying roller is used, there is no need to send it to a rubber maker at the time of repair unlike the conventional case.
It is extremely economical and has great industrial value. Furthermore, when discarding the conventional web conveying roller, it is necessary to scrape off the covering member with a lathe or the like to separate the roller core member and the covering member. Since the members can be easily removed, the effect is great from the viewpoint of processing industrial waste.
