This conventional structure includes a shelf that has multiple compartment storage spaces both vertically and horizontally;
This shelf has a cargo handling area located outside one end, and a loading platform that can move freely along a fixed path along the front of these shelves and the cargo handling area, and can move up and down as well as horizontally, and is automatically controlled. A storage passage is formed in parallel with the fixed path, and a movable frame (traverser) for transferring the cargo loading/unloading device between the fixed path and the storage passage is installed as a shelf. The other end is provided on the outer side.

is the emergency cargo handling area 10 at the other end of the fixed route 13.
It is parked on the side of the building and is not in use. In this state, the loading/unloading device 12 is run in the passage 2, and the lifting/lowering movement of the lifting platform 18 and the loading/unloading tool 1 are performed.
By the combined operation with the lateral movement in and out of 9, the cargo 7 is delivered (loaded and unloaded) between the target compartment storage space 6 and the cargo handling area 10 via this loading and unloading device 12. . In this mode of operation, if the loading/unloading device 12 stops working due to a breakdown or power outage, the loading/unloading device 12 can be moved to one end by hand or using a winch device (not shown) to handle the cargo. Stop at the side of field 8 (home position). If there is a failure, it will be repaired. As described above, even when the loading/unloading device 12 cannot be used, there are times when it is necessary to take out the warehouse. In this case, the emergency loading/unloading device 27 is manually operated.
Alternatively, by power using the battery 34, the vehicle is caused to travel along a fixed route 13 to a target location, as shown by imaginary line A in FIG. Then, the worker on each workbench 31 takes out the load 7 from the intended storage space 6 and places it on the workbench 31. After taking out a certain number of loads 7 onto the workbench 31 through such work, the emergency loading/unloading device 27 is run and stopped at the side of the emergency load handling area 10, and then the worker takes the load 7 onto the workbench 31. Transfer the upper load 7 onto the pedestal 11. As a result, the emergency loading/unloading device 27 can be used for unloading, and the operation can be repeated as necessary.

Loading and unloading of cargo can be carried out efficiently between the divided storage space and the cargo handling area. If the loading/unloading device becomes unusable due to a breakdown or power outage, the emergency loading/unloading device can be operated manually or by battery drive.
The worker on the workbench takes out the cargo on the shelf side onto the workbench, then moves the emergency loading/unloading device to the other end of the shelf outside, and then unloads the cargo on the workbench, allowing for emergency evacuation. This can be conveniently performed even from the upper part of the shelf.
