Description of the Related Art A droplet ejection pressure control system in which an electric signal is applied to a recording head equipped with a piezoelectric element for ejecting recording droplets only when necessary to convert into a pressure wave, and the droplet is ejected by the pressure wave. The on-demand type ink jet recording method has an advantage that a driving circuit is simple and a structure is simple because a pressure pulse is generated according to an electric signal. As a known document of the prior art related to the present invention, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No.
There is an "inkjet head" described in JP-A-0-90770 or an "inkjet head driving method" described in JP-A-63-104843.

The "ink jet head" described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 44-44 has been proposed, which corresponds to a piezoelectric body in which parallel slits are provided and every other convex portion formed by the slits is used as an actuator. And an upper plate provided with a pressurized liquid chamber having a nozzle. There are two methods of joining, one of which is the method of directly joining the convex part of the piezoelectric element that is not the actuator and the side wall part that defines the pressurized liquid chamber of the upper plate, and the next is the indirect method through the thin film member. It is a method of joining. Here, when directly joining, the slit is filled with an elastic body, and when indirectly joining via the thin film member, the slit is not filled.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a cross section of a main part of a conventional inkjet head, in which 22 is an upper plate, 23 is a pressurized liquid chamber,
Reference numeral 24 is a side wall portion, 25 is a vibration plate, 26 is a piezoelectric element, 27 is a convex portion (actuator), and 28 and 29 are adhesive agents.

First, the upper plate 22 and the vibration plate 25 are bonded by the adhesive 28, and then the convex portions 27 of the piezoelectric element 26 are bonded by the adhesive 29 to be integrated. In this structure, the convex portion 27, which is an actuator, is connected to the pressurized liquid chamber 23 via the diaphragm 25.
, The width of the convex portion 27 is selected to be smaller than the width of the pressurized liquid chamber 23. When the integration density is low and the area of the adhesive layer of the adhesives 28 and 29 is smaller than the area of the convex portion 27, the volume reduction rate does not decrease and the adjacent pressurized liquid chamber is not affected. When highly integrated, the convex portion 27 exerts a force to deform the upper plate 22 via the vibration plate 25 and the layers of the adhesives 28 and 29 at the time of driving, and the volume reduction rate becomes smaller by that amount, so that the efficiency is improved. descend. In addition, mutual interference increases and image quality deteriorates. If the number of nozzles is increased, the positional deviation between the convex portion 27 of the piezoelectric element 26 and the pressurized liquid chamber 23 becomes a problem, and further, the efficiency is lowered due to the above-mentioned reason and the adverse effects due to the increase of mutual interference are increased. In order to prevent this, it is necessary to increase the size of the rigid member, which makes practical application difficult.

Has less displacement. High voltage driving is required to obtain a predetermined displacement, and it is difficult to achieve high integration. Furthermore, the piezoelectric body has a flat plate shape, and the drive section is divided by the shallow groove.
Since the groove is shallow, the piezoelectric body is connected between the electrodes. As a result,
When the selected piezoelectric element unit is driven, the upper plate is deformed via the adjacent non-driving unit. This modification adversely affects efficiency and mutual interference as in the previous example.

Reference numeral 30 is an upper plate, 31 is a pressurized liquid chamber, 32 is a partition wall portion, 33 is a piezoelectric body, 34 is a slit, 34a is a filler, 35 is a drive unit,
Reference numeral 36 is a non-driving portion, and 37 is an adhesive. In the figure,

To prevent the electrodes of the electrodes from being poorly insulated, and the drive unit 3
In order to prevent the upper plate 30 from being pushed up via the filling material 34a by the driving of No. 5, an elastic agent having a low Young's modulus is selected. However, when the width of the partition wall portion 32 is larger than the width of the non-driving portion 36 of the piezoelectric body 33, the higher the degree of integration, the more likely the positional displacement between the two is, and the adhesive 37 also sticks out as illustrated. As a result, there is a problem that the upper plate 30 is largely deformed, the volume reduction rate is small, the driving efficiency is lowered, the mutual interference is large, and the image quality is lowered.

The convex portions are not all actuators, but the driving portions 3 and the non-driving portions 4 are alternately arranged. The slits are filled with a filler 2a made of an elastic resin having a low Young's modulus. The filler 2a is intended to insulate the common electrode 9a and the individual electrode 9b of the piezoelectric body 1 from each other and to reinforce the driving unit 3. The driving unit 3 is driven by selecting the elastic body having a low Young's modulus. This is to prevent the displacement from being transmitted to the non-driving portion 4 when the displacement is caused in the thickness direction.

At this time, the partition walls 7 that define the adjacent grooves 6 have different widths at the positions of the bottom and the opening of the groove 6, and the width W 1 at the bottom position and the width W 2 at the opening position are different from each other. The relationship is W 1 > W 2 . The relationship between the width W 2 at the opening position and the width W 3 of the non-driving portion 4 is selected to be W 2 <W 3.

Since the width W 2 of the partition wall portion 7 at the groove opening position is smaller than the width W 3 of the non-driving portion 4 of the piezoelectric body 1, the adhesive layer of the adhesive agent 10 does not cover the slit 2 and is small or large. が図れる。As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the width of the partition surface on the bonding surface is made smaller than the width of the bonding surface of the non-driving portion, so that the processing accuracy of the component in the processing of the slit and the piezoelectricity are improved. A positional deviation margin between both the partition wall portion and the non-driving portion, which is determined by the assembly precision for joining the body and the upper plate, is increased. Further, by increasing the margin of the amount of the adhesive protruding, it is possible to reduce the influence of the flatness of both components and the uneven coating of the adhesive. That is, it is possible to prevent adverse effects on the head ejection characteristics such as a decrease in efficiency and an increase in mutual interference due to defective parts accuracy and assembly accuracy. Further, even if the upper plate is made of a resin molded product, there is almost no characteristic deterioration, and the cost can be reduced.

A piezoelectric body having a plurality of parallel slits, wherein convex portions formed by the slits are alternately arranged as a driving portion and a non-driving portion, and the driving portion. And an upper plate having a groove partitioned by a partition wall portion corresponding to the above, and a partition wall portion of the upper plate and a non-driving portion of the piezoelectric body are joined to form a pressurized liquid chamber to drive the driving portion. In the ink jet head recording device for causing displacement in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the pressurized liquid chamber and ejecting droplets from a nozzle communicating with the pressurized liquid chamber, the piezoelectric body and the upper plate are joined together. The width of the partition wall portion of the upper plate on the surface is smaller than the width of the non-driving portion of the piezoelectric body.
