Another problem was that the indoor air blowing system 20 was compressed, and as a result, the indoor air outlet 18 could only achieve an opening height of 50 to 60% of the total height of the air conditioner. Therefore, there are problems such as insufficient air conditioning such as cooling or heating, and unsatisfactory design.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention is an air conditioner for window mounting, in which the lower part of the casing is divided into three parts in the front and back, and the indoor side has an indoor heat exchanger and a ventilation system path sequentially from the indoor side. A unit room, a compressor room, and an outdoor unit room having an outdoor heat exchanger and a ventilation system path are defined, and in the upper part of the casing,
The inside of the casing is divided into two parts, front and back, by a partition wall erected upward from the top of the compressor room, and an indoor unit chamber and an outdoor unit chamber are formed. In addition to making the unit room significantly higher than before, the depth of the indoor and outdoor unit rooms increases as you move upwards, making it possible to expand the ventilation system path and maintain the ventilation characteristics. This is what I did.

As shown in FIG. 2, the partition plate 21 includes a vertical partition plate portion 21a extending from the top to a lower half, and an inclined portion that slopes diagonally downward from the lower end of the vertical partition plate portion 21a toward the indoor side. A second partition plate 22 is provided on the outdoor side of the lower partition plate 21b and spaced therefrom. The lower part of the inside of the casing 7 is divided into three parts in the front and back by the lower partition plate part 21b of the partition plate 21 and the second partition plate 22, and sequentially from the indoor side to the indoor unit chamber 16, compression The cabin 15 and the outdoor unit chamber 9 are divided into sections, and the upper part of the casing 7 is connected to the partition plate 2.
It is divided into an indoor unit chamber 16 and an outdoor unit chamber 9 by one vertical partition plate 21a. Therefore, the indoor unit chamber 16 and the outdoor unit chamber 9 are formed such that their depths are small in their lower portions and are large in their upper portions.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, the heat exchanger and the air outlet can be provided over almost the entire surface of the indoor and outdoor sides of the casing. The ratio of the height of the air conditioner to the total height of the air conditioner can be increased. Therefore, the indoor air conditioning effect can be enhanced. Moreover, since both unit chambers are formed with a large depth dimension at the upper part, the air blowing characteristics are not impaired, and the height of the cross-flow fan can be increased, so the outer diameter of the cross-flow fan on the indoor side and the outdoor side can be compared. The target can be made smaller. Therefore, there is no need to particularly increase the depth dimension of the set, and the main components can be housed within a predetermined cross-sectional area.
