【考案の詳細な説明】
[技術分野]
本考案は窯業系材料よりなり外面に模様用の凹
溝が形成された外装材を接続する継手の構造に関

に示すように金属の芯材aの外面に軟質合成樹脂

嵌合凹部4を設けてあつた。この外装材継手
A′で外装材5を接続する場合、外装材5の側端
を嵌合凹部4に嵌入するが、外装材5の外面に模
様用凹溝6がある場合、模様用凹溝6がこの継手
の部分でとぎれ、外観上違和感があり、また模様
用凹溝6に連続するように凹部を形成しようとし
て外装材継手A′を凹ませようとしても金属の芯
材aに軟質合成樹脂層bを被覆したものであるた

[考案の開示]
本考案外装材継手Aは、細長い基板1と軟質合
成樹脂の細長い押さえ板2とを間隔を隔てて平行
に対向させると共に基板1と押さえ板2との間を
幅方向の中央で合成樹脂発泡体の連結体3にて一
体に連結して断面略エ字状に形成され、連結体3
の両側で押さえ板2と基板1との間に外装材5の
端縁を嵌入し得る嵌合凹部4が形成されたもので
あつて、上述のように構成することにより従来例
の欠点を解決したものである。つまり押さえ板2
を軟質合成樹脂とすると共に連結体3を合成樹脂
発泡体としたことにより、押さえ板2側から熱を
加えると、合成樹脂発泡体の連結体3に熱が伝わ
つて溶けると共に押さえ板2が凹没するものであ
つて、簡単に凹部7を加工でき、表面に模様用凹
溝6を有する外装材5を嵌合凹部4に嵌入して接
続したとき模様用凹溝6に連続する凹部7を設け
て外観上違和感がないように接続できるようにな

手方向に亘つて設けてある。連結体3は合成樹脂
発泡体製であり、例えば発泡スチロール等にて形
成されている。押さえ板2は細長い板であり、軟
質塩化ビニルにような軟質合成樹脂にて形成され
ている。合成樹脂発泡体よりなる連結体3の両側
面は必要に応じて軟質合成樹脂で被覆してあつて
もよい。このように形成せる外装材継手Aは連結
体3の両側で押さえ板2と基板1との間に嵌合凹
部4を有している。外装材5は窯業系材料にて形
成され、外面に横方向に模様用凹溝6を凹設して
ある。しかして外装材5を施工するにあたつては
外壁本体の外面に外装材継手Aを長手方向が上下
方向を向くように配置して基板1を外壁本体の外
面に取着し、外壁本体の外面に貼る外装材5の側
端を外装材継手Aの嵌合凹部4に嵌入する。この
とき外装材5の模様用凹溝6に対応する位置で押
さえ板2から熱を加え、合成樹脂発泡体よりなる
連結体3を溶かして押さえ板2に凹部7を形成
し、第2図に示すように凹部7にて外装材継手A
を介して隣合う外装材5の模様用凹溝6を連続さ

連結体に熱が伝わつて溶けると共に押さえ板が凹
没するものであつて、簡単に凹部を加工できるも
のであり、外装材の側端を嵌合凹部に嵌合して接
続したとき外装材の外面に模様用凹溝があつても
模様用凹溝に連続する凹部を簡単に形成して外観
