Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a groove formable in the upper part of a welded material by installing a shear which cuts a butt surface at a tilt angle with this surface. CONSTITUTION:In order to be welded to a butt surface in a state that an upper part is opened any way, this welder canes to have a tilt angle as a shearing method. Accordingly, when shearing is carried out from top to bottom by both upper and lower shears 2 and 7, it is recommended that the tilt angle of 0.5 deg. to 60 deg. is proper. So, at the time of butting, this welder is made possible to have a groove 8 in the upper part without fail, whereby penetration beads are apt to come into sight and, what is more, welding quality is made securable. Therefore any possible undercut will in no case occur in the lower part of a welded material 4.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a welding machine, and more particularly to a butt welding material in which each tip of a material to be welded is cut, butt welded and then welded.

2. Description of the Related Art Generally, in a laser welding machine, butt welding of steel strips or the like is mainly performed. For example, as described in JP-A-57-171590, in a welding machine having upper and lower shears, first, shirring is performed from the upper side to the lower side, and then these welded materials (hereinafter referred to as plates). Butt welding is performed by using laser light and filler wire in combination with each other at a certain interval.

However, in these welding methods, there is a problem in the shirring itself. That is, as shown in FIG. 4 of the conventional example, it is understood that the method of vertically shearing from the upper side to the lower side always results in the cut surface 5 opened downward. That is,
Taking the cutting of a plate as an example, as shown in Fig. 5, about 1/3 of the upper part of the plate

In order to prevent these problems, various measures have been taken to change the abutting gap between the plates and to narrow the clearance between the upper and lower shears so that the proportion of the cut surface 5 is as large as possible. However, these measures are not perfect, and as the plate pressure becomes thicker, it becomes difficult and the burden on the equipment increases.

In the device of the present invention,
Since the welding is performed with the upper part opened, a certain inclination angle is used as the shearing method. In the case of shirring from the upper part to the lower part, an inclination angle of 0.5 ° to 60 ° is suitable, so that a groove (welding torch direction) can be always provided on the upper part at the time of butting. As a result, it becomes possible to secure the ease of the back bead and the welding quality.

FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a conventional welding machine, in which a material 4 to be welded is sandwiched between an upper clamp 1 and a lower clamp 3 and cut by an upper shear-2 and a lower shear-7. At this time,
As shown in FIG. 6, a cut surface 5 is seen in the upper part, and a fracture surface 6 is seen in the lower part. When welding, a lower open state occurs, and an undercut 9 is likely to appear as shown in FIG.
